Overview of pcb mounting

PCB chip technology is a widely used in recent years in the field of electronic equipment manufacturing component installation, compared with the traditional plug-in components, with small specifications, compact packaging, easy to realize the advantages of automated production and so on. In PCB mounting technology, through the high-speed mounter or other mounter equipment, the components are accurately attached to the surface of the PCB board, and the installation of the components is completed after welding.

PCB SMD technology is mainly divided into three types:

1.

Surface Mount Technology (SMT): SMT is currently the most commonly used mounting technology, it is directly on the surface of the Printed Circuit Board (PWB) the surface of the pre-reserved area of the mounting through the adhesive adhesive components at the bottom of the pins, and then use the hot-air oven will be the components welded to the surface of the PCB.

2. Back-Guard Technology (BGT): This technology forms the lead side of the lead pins on the back of the component towards the PCB surface and fixes the component to the PCB surface by soldering the component.

3.

Through-hole assembly technology (THT): This technology connects some of the component pins to the other end through perforations in the PCB, and is usually used for components that require high mechanical strength and high power to be installed, such as power supplies and connectors and other components.

PCB mounting technology is used in a wide range of applications, such as communications, computer peripherals, automotive electronics, medical devices, smart home and so on. PCB mounting technology will continue to be widely used in the future due to its advantages of high efficiency, precision, reliability and cost savings.
