The quality of loose coal is poor and most of it is emitted at low altitude. No corresponding environmental protection measures are taken during the combustion process, which is one of the main sources of air pollution.
According to relevant experts, from the perspective of air pollution levels, the main air pollution emission coefficient of scattered coal burning is much higher than that of centralized coal burning. The pollutants emitted by one ton of scattered coal are about the same calorific value. The power plant emits 5 times, 2 times and 66 times more sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, smoke and dust. The main reason is that small coal furnaces are poorly equipped and cannot install desulfurization and dust removal and other purification equipment like large industrial boilers or kilns.
