Sichuan Health and Rehabilitation Vocational College (referred to as ChuanWeiKangYuan and WeiKangYuan. SichuanVocationalCollegeofHealthandRehabilitation), located in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Sichuan Province. The current party secretary Liu Jianhui, President Huang Changping. The motto of the school is "Great benevolence seeks learning, great medicine helps people".
As of November 2021, Sichuan Health and Rehabilitation Vocational College covers an area of 1,488 acres, with 7 secondary faculties and departments and 2 affiliated hospitals. There are 19 majors and 2 professional directions, with 530 teaching staff.
Sichuan Health and Rehabilitation Vocational College was formerly known as Renji Nursing School, which was founded in 1918; in 1937, the school was closed down for some reasons; it resumed operation in September, 1939; in November, 1939, it applied for the establishment of a case to the Sichuan Provincial Education Department in the name of Private Zigong Renji Senior Nursing Vocational School, and formulated the school's general rules and regulations; in 1945, the school was renamed as Zigong Private Yi Ji Senior Nursing Vocational School; May 23, 1951, changed its name to Zigong City Yi Ji Senior Nurses Vocational School.
In 1952, the school merged with the South Sichuan Medical Cadre School, renamed Zigong City Health School, began to run schools independently; 1953, Neijiang Prefecture Nursing School into the school, and adjust the name of the school for the Zigong Health School of Sichuan Province, in addition to 1954 to 1972 was renamed Zigong Nursing School of Sichuan Province, Sichuan Zigong City, Sichuan Province, outside of the Baikou'an Health School, Zigong Health School of Sichuan Province. Zigong Health School in Sichuan Province, except from 1954 to 1972, when the name was changed to Zigong Nursing School in Sichuan Province and Zigong Baiqun Health School in Sichuan Province.
In 2007, the school moved to Huixing Road, Huidong New District, Zigong City as a whole; in 2012, the school was upgraded to a public ordinary school of higher education and renamed Sichuan Health Rehabilitation Vocational College; in August 2018, the college was relocated to the eastern new town of Zigong City.
