Russia's National Emergency Rescue Team arrived in China on May 16, and at 14:00 on May 17, the team successfully rescued a survivor from a family home in Dujiangyan.
South Korea sent a 41-member rescue team to Sichuan on May 16 to start search and rescue work in Shifang City's polish town.
Singapore's 55-member rescue team arrived in the morning of May 17 in Hongbai Town of Shifang City, Sichuan.
The 35-member Cuban team arrived in Chengdu on the evening of May 23rd. This is the furthest international medical team that has traveled to the disaster area in China.
The Italian team has set up five large inflatable medical tents in Mianzhu. The team consists of 25 medical technicians and can hospitalize about 50 patients at a time.
The German medical team brought a mobile general hospital that can meet the daily needs of 250,000 people.
Britain, France, Pakistan and Indonesia have also sent medical teams to the Sichuan disaster area.
Shortly after the quake, China presented a "Monument of Appreciation for International Relief in Wenchuan Earthquake" to 11 countries: Japan, Russia, South Korea, Singapore, Germany, Italy, Cuba, France, Britain, Indonesia and Pakistan.
