The AKM rifle adopts a stamped receiver, and the barrel sleeve and tailstock are spot welded to the 1mm thick U-shaped receiver. superior. The bolt is locked in the barrel sleeve. There is a small magazine positioning groove on each side of the receiver, and there are reinforcement ribs on the receiver cover. There are 4 semicircular notches on the front end of the piston barrel, which match the similar notches of the air guide hoop. The surface of the bolt and bolt frame are phosphated, and the frame-bolt guide rail is also a stamped part and spot welded to the inner wall of the receiver.
The gun is equipped with a speed reducer, located near the trigger. After the safety iron is not pressed in place when the machine frame is lowered, the reducer holds the hammer backward and relies on its inertia to achieve deceleration.
The gun uses a straight stock and bayonet, and the bayonet seat is located under the air guide hole. There are finger grooves on the handguard to facilitate the shooter's control of the weapon during burst firing.
