Biosafety cabinets are designed to protect workers, laboratory environment and experimental products from infectious aerosols and spills, which may be produced during the operation of infectious experimental materials (such as primary cultures, strains and diagnostic specimens). Its purpose is to protect the experimental process, operators and the environment from harm. Fume hoods and clean benches are not biosafety cabinets and should not be used in experiments or production processes involving microbial materials.
The clean workbench (clean bench) is designed to protect the test products or products. By blowing vertical or horizontal laminar air through the work area, the test product is prevented from being contaminated by dust or bacteria outside the work area. Once the microbial samples are placed in the work area, laminar air will blow the air with microbial media to the front desk staff, causing danger.
