How to fill out the summer social practice survey record form for the dental profession Fanwen

I was looking for it in the Fanwen tribe, you see it can be used?

The university era is a special stage of life, to master more and more professional knowledge, but also gradually learn to adapt to the transition from campus to society. Therefore, very often, social practice is as important as the first classroom. The following is a small compilation of social practice of dental students, welcome to read!

Time: 2013.8.24-2013.8.30

Location: dental hospital outpatient department endodontics

Content: guide

Guide experience: the first day to go to the call system, that is, the consultation office. At the beginning of the patient's question is almost nothing, but in the elder brothers and sisters of the leadership, I also gradually familiar with the location of each clinic and how to judge from the registration form is which clinic. I also gradually memorized the distribution of departments on each floor and the distribution of the registration desk. After half a day's practice, I could basically deal with the questions asked by the patients. This made me very happy. Next, I went to a clinic every day. But since I don't have enough specialized knowledge, people don't assign me too many tasks. I just occasionally helped out with carrying things, changing cups, or other such tasks. The nurse sisters are very experienced, and they answer patients who come to them for counseling. I felt a little ashamed that I couldn't help much. I spent most of my time observing my teachers and siblings. I saw a lot of root canal fillings. Also saw a couple fillings. There was also a gingivectomy. The intake and learning was very nettlesome.

The doctor's feelings

(A) feel the doctor's high skill This apprenticeship let me y feel the "dexterity" words to describe the oral surgeon is more than appropriate. I went to the endodontics department. The common cases in this department are root canal treatment and fillings. The platform on which the doctors operate is just a small hole in a tooth that is less than one square centimeter in size. Most of the instruments they use are also very small and precise, and you have to be very skillful to perform such operations. A root canal is only one or two millimeters in diameter, but it has to be filled with a lot of gum tips and other materials. The teachers were so skillful that they were able to move freely in the thin root canals, filling in and removing various things flexibly. Their skill couldn't help but take my breath away a bit. Another time I saw a teacher fill a tooth. He used a material that was very close to the color of the tooth to replace the missing tooth, placed the material in the appropriate place according to the original shape of the tooth, and then retouched the tooth many times with tools and viewed it from various angles. The teeth that are finally made can really look like the real thing. Probably only the dentist himself can tell that it is a fake tooth. I feel that they treat a patient as if they were completing a work of art, carefully crafted, the process may be very long and time-consuming, but in the end, when you look at the finished product, you experience the greatest joy in your own heart.

(2) touch the nurses thoughtful service This apprenticeship contact with the nurse sisters are also very admirable. I used to take for granted that it is not difficult to be kind to people. But really to the hospital but found that it is easier said than done. On the first day, I was very enthusiastic and did my best to serve every patient. But as I worked day after day, I began to get bored. The questions I answered every day almost always had fixed answers, and after a long time I felt I was a repeater. So when I see a patient, I can speak briefly; if I can not say, I do not say. At first, I smiled when I saw patients, but then I felt that even if I smiled under the mask, no one would see it, and my smile would not be responded to. So with the mask covering my face, my expression was cold for a while. But I admired the nurses. They deal with patients every day, and the language they use when communicating with patients is only a few words. But they don't change their attitude just because they are tired of it, and they are always enthusiastic about the patients. Moreover, they work very well with the doctors, and the doctors seldom ask for anything because the nurses will prepare it in advance. This makes the visit very efficient.

(3)Feeling to learn Learning is never-ending This internship also made me realize the word "learning is never-ending". At first, I followed the teaching number, that is, a teacher with some graduate students or doctoral students. Watching the operation of these older siblings, I thought they were already very good. But in the next few days, I saw the treatments of the "famous old experts", and they were really more skillful. Their operation was more skillful, their observation more careful, their positioning more accurate; moreover, their attitude towards the patients was better, giving people a feeling of spring breeze. Thus, I feel that the subject of medicine is really a subject that one can, and must, learn for life. After more than ten years of hard study before entering the university, and seven years or more after entering the university, when we graduate, we may think that we are already very great, and in the eyes of others, after so many years of study, doctors are also very powerful. But in fact, there is still a big gap between the level we just graduated from and these high-level experts. We still have to keep on learning and there is a lot more to learn in our life after this.

(4) feeling patients need care A few days of experience let me see the patient's "weak" image. Patients who come to the hospital, regardless of their job position, social status, personal income, living environment, here seem to be the same image. They all treated the doctor with respect, always had a look of anxiety on their faces, and when the doctor asked for a statement of their condition, they would always try their best to say a little bit more until the doctor said "I know" several times before they would stop. In a patient's workplace and circle of life, he may be a very elegant person, may be a very ostentatious person, may be a very silent person, but in the hospital, all these character traits seem to be not visible. When confronted with their own bodies, people are often at their most essential and real. In the hospital, the people who come to see the doctor, whoever they are, they are confronted with their own defects, their own body hair. That's when they are weak. It is tenderness. And the one who can remedy their flaws is the doctor. This thought makes me reflect on my attitude toward my patients every time, and reminds me of the solemn words of the Hippocratic Oath. Health depends on, life depends on, in the face of this "weak" we doctors take on this very difficult and sacred task.

My thoughts After this guide I realized the importance of the hands. I feel that my hands are very poor, in the future we must pay attention to the exercise of hands-on ability, must find their own opportunities to practice more hands. In addition, we must pay attention to our language skills, communication skills. These are also crucial for a doctor.

Impression of the guide This guide is the first time to stay in the hospital for a longer period of time, which has left a deep impression on me. I got an initial understanding of the subspecialties of dentistry and the materials and instruments commonly used in endodontics. I also gained a very cursory understanding of the treatment process. Although this knowledge is very shallow, I believe that I will recall this experience in the future when I learn professional knowledge, and the things that I have been exposed to can help me in my future studies.

This summer practice arranged by the doctor's guide activity has benefited me a lot. Teachers and older siblings in the hospital were also envious when they saw that we had such an opportunity. I feel that I have not wasted this opportunity and have gained a lot myself. The first experience of social practice made me realize its importance. It is another opportunity for us to learn outside the classroom. If you have the opportunity, you must participate in more social practice activities in the future.
