Stud welding is a method of welding metal studs or other fasteners to the workpiece. Realization of the stud welding method has a variety of methods, such as: pull-arc stud welding, stored-energy stud welding, resistance welding, projection welding, etc.. Corresponding to the welder is also different, respectively, for the pull-arc stud welder, stored-energy stud welder, resistance welder, convex welder and so on.
Stud welder in the country has a variety of informal designation, such as seed welder, plant welder, seed nail machine, plant nail machine, screw welder, screw welder, and so on, are referred to the stud welder.
Discharge stud welder
Discharge stud welder adopts large-capacity capacitor as the source of welding energy, and precisely controls the discharging time through SCR, which instantly melts the tip of the stud in the way of low voltage - strong current, so that the stud and the working surface gap merge quickly, and the stud is firmly welded on the working surface, and the whole process lasts about 1-3ms.
The stud welder can be used for a wide range of applications such as welding of studs, welding of screws, and so on, all of which are referred to as stud welder. The working principle of the stored-energy stud welder is as follows:
The stored-energy stud welder adopts 220V AC power, which is step-down by transformer 1, and then transforms the AC power into DC power by rectifier bridge 2, and then charges the capacitor 6 through bidirectional rectifier 3 and charging resistor. The intelligent chip precisely controls the thyristor 5, so that the energy storage capacitor 6 instantly releases all the power to complete the whole welding process.
The capacitor discharge stud welder is widely used in sheet metal works, switch cabinets in electronics industry, test and medical equipment, food industry, home appliance industry, communication engineering, industrial complete cookware, office and banking equipment, coin-operated supervisory machines, glass curtain wall structures and insulation technology.
