New Zealand welfare at a glance:
1, free public health care
All public **** hospitals to treat a disease is free of charge, the hospital's surgical equipment is provided by the state gratuitously. New Zealand allowances at a glance:
1, child allowance (family benefit)
Any child of a pr person can get $6 per week per child, and the applicant must apply within 6 months of arrival in New Zealand. It is calculated from the date of arrival and the applicant must provide the child's birth certificate and residence. Generally, this allowance is paid until the child reaches the age of fifteen, after the age of eighteen the disabled person will need to apply for other types of relief, the child allowance will no longer be applicable, usually this allowance is mostly paid to the child's mother, but if the child is not brought up by the mother, then this allowance will be paid to the guardian who takes care of the child. Sometimes child benefit can be paid as a lump sum instead of weekly, e.g. you can buy a house and claim it as a lump sum to avoid the hassle of weekly claims.
2. Family support
Families earning less than a certain amount of money are given tax relief by the government, this is known as family support, and it applies to single and two parent families, for more information, please contact the nearest New Zealand Revenue Department.
3. Orphans benefit
This benefit is paid to a guardian who cares for an orphan until the orphan is sixteen years old, but if the orphan is still at school at sixteen or is physically handicapped, the benefit is extended to the end of the year in which the orphan turns eighteen.
4. Domestic Purpose Benefit
A New Zealander aged sixteen or over can apply for this benefit if he or she is required to care for a patient, who must be his or her husband or wife, at home or in a hospital.
5. Invalids benefit
A person who is totally blind or permanently incapacitated for work can receive a regular income to support him or her.
6. Sickness benefit
A person who has been injured or ill for more than a few weeks can apply for this benefit because he is unable to work, but he has to produce a medical certificate to show that his illness is so serious that he is unable to go to work or work.
7. Unemployment Benefit (unempoyment benfit)
A person aged sixteen or over can apply for this benefit if he can prove that he is genuinely unable to work. However, he must be willing to work and must have been looking for a job, and he must be registered with the Bureau of Labor Affairs and keep in touch with the Bureau of Labor Affairs in order to be eligible for this benefit. There is no time limit on the duration of the unemployment benefit, so if you are eligible, you can receive it for as long as you want.

8. National superannuatio
National superannuatio
This benefit is paid to those who are under sixteen years of age.
The superannuation must be paid at the age of sixty, as well as living in New Zealand for seven of the last ten years, and every six months the pension is adjusted in line with the price index, which must be applied for within the first six months of the applicant reaching the age of sixteen.
9. Widows benefit

11. Emergency benefit

12. The accident compensation system
New Zealand's Accident Compensation Corpration (acc) pays compensation to anyone in New Zealand, including foreign travelers. Reasonable travel expenses if you are at work, on the way to work or returning home from work
Reasonable care expenses if you are at work, or If you are injured on your way to work, or on your way home from work, your employer will have to pay part of the compensation. The procedure for acc claim is very simple, just bring the medical certificate issued by your doctor to any acc (Accident Compensation Corporation) office in your neighborhood, and fill in a notification of accident and claim form.
13. Accommodation benefit
The government provides cash assistance to families who rent or buy a home with a mortgage, and who need to repair their homes.

The following is the reference information for the actual amount of subsidies for various benefits or allowances:

Part I:
1, as long as you have PR (no need for PR for more than two years), no matter whether you are renting or taking out a loan to buy a house, we can apply for a housing subsidy for you, $70-$250/week.
2. If you have PR and are physically ill, we can apply for a sickness allowance for you, $250-$400/week.
3. If you are a single mother, we can apply for a family allowance+temporary allowance+housing subsidy for you, which according to our past cases, can be up to $500+/week.
4, If your family has minor children to take care of, we can apply for milk money for you, at least $86/week for one child, maximum $300+/week.

8, if you have got a permanent back to the visa, with Partner, and two people are students, we can apply for you to $ 400 /week student allowance. (You can earn $20,800 per year)
Part 2:
If you are a current student and would like to apply for welfare, you should apply for it from Study Link. There are five types of student benefits:
1. Student Loan Compulsory Fees
Applicant Requirement: PR for 2 years or above, permanent returnee or New Zealand citizen, and are attending a Student Link recognized educational institution (Full Time or Part Time), are eligible to apply for a government tuition fee loan. Applicants are eligible to apply for Government Tuition Fee Loan (zero interest) to pay for the tuition fees. When the applicant's annual income exceeds $19,084 (about $367/week), he/she earns $1 more and needs to repay 10C to the government.
2, Student Allowance
Applicant Requirement: PR for 2 years or above, permanent visa holder or New Zealand citizen, attending a full time school in a Student Link recognized educational institution. Housing allowance is included in the student allowance.
Single 24 years old or above, with pre-tax income less than $195.78/week, can apply for Student Allowance $234.12/week
Single 24 years old or below, with pre-tax income less than $195.78/week, with parent's total income less than $86,685.30/year, can apply for Student Allowance $201.76/week
If you are a spouse or a citizen of New Zealand, you may apply for Student Allowance $201.76/week. p>If there is a spouse (Partner), both of them go to school at the same time, the family income before tax does not exceed $391.56/week, each person can apply for student allowance $201.76/week

3. Stationery Fee (Student Loan Course-related Costs)
Applicant's Requirement: PR for two years or more, and already have a permanent residence. PR for 2 years or above, already have a permanent visa or New Zealand citizen, and attending a full time school in a Study Link accredited educational institution. Each applicant can apply $1000 per year for stationery fee, but this is also a loan (zero interest). When the applicant's annual income exceeds $19084, he/she will earn $1 more and need to repay 10C to the government.
4, housing subsidies (Accommodation Supplement)
Applicant conditions: PR less than two years, or not eligible to apply for student allowances permanent PR and citizens. The amount of housing subsidy is determined by the applicant's rent or mortgage, income, whether or not he/she has a partner, and the area in which he/she lives. For example: Single, no income, no minor children, rent $150/week, can apply for housing allowance $71/week.
5, Unemployment Benefit Student Hardship
Applicant Requirement: PR for 2 years or above, permanent returnee or New Zealand citizen. Citizen, applying for the benefit during school vacation period (Vacation period is more than 3 weeks, such as public university's long vacation period from November to February every year).
Single person under 25 years old, with pre-tax income less than $80/week, can apply for Student Holiday Allowance $161.76/week
Single person over 25 years old, with pre-tax income less than $80/week, can apply for Student Holiday Allowance $194.12/week

Part 3:
If you are an ordinary PR (non-student) and would like to apply for welfare benefits, you should apply for them from Work and Income. Ordinary PR benefits include the following four types:
1. Accommodation Supplement
Applicant Requirement: Any New Zealand PR or citizen. Depending on the applicant's rent or mortgage, income, whether you have a partner or not, and the area you live in, the amount of subsidy will be determined.
2. Sickness Benefit
Applicant's Requirement: Anyone who has resided in New Zealand for 2 years after getting PR, and has a medical condition (including pregnancy of 27 weeks or above), which affects your working ability, and requires a certificate from your family doctor. If you or your partner is not working full time, you can apply for $161.76/person/week. If you are single, above 25 years old, you can apply for $194.12/week.
3, Unemployment Benefit
Requirement for applicants: After getting PR, those who have been living in New Zealand for 2 years. After getting PR, those who have resided in New Zealand for 2 consecutive years, applicants who are currently unemployed, can apply for $161.76/person/week before they get a full time job, provided that their spouse (partner) is not working full time. If you are single, above 25 years old, you can apply up to $194.12/week.
4, Single Mothers/Fathers Benefit (Domestic Purposes Benefit - Sole Parent)
Applicant Requirement: After you get the PR, if you have been living in New Zealand for 2 years, you do not have a full time job and you need to take care of your minor children(s) alone. If you need to take care of a minor child (below 18 years old), you can apply for $278.04/week.
5. Milk Money Subsidy
Applicant Requirement: If you need to take care of a minor child (below 18 years old), you can apply for Inland Revenue child allowance (commonly known as "milk money"). Requirement: The child or parent is a New Zealand PR or citizen. Regardless of whether the parents are working or not, the child is eligible for the allowance. The exact amount of allowance that you can apply for, depends on whether the parents are working or not, and their income status.
It is worth mentioning, welfare policy is not related to the wealth of the country. For example, in India, where the total GDP is less than one-third of China's, there is free medical care for all 1.2 billion people, including foreigners (and there is no charge for public hospitals); and free education for all 120 million students, including free meals for students and free uniforms for all seasons.
