Xiaopeng Auto's Zhaoqing self-built factory production qualification approved, will produce P7

May 19, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the 332nd batch of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products Bulletin, and Xiaopeng Automobile, as a licensed vehicle manufacturer, was released in the batch of the bulletin. This means that the production qualification of the self-built factory of Xiaopeng Automobile is finalized.

Previously, the eye of the sky information shows that on March 19th Fudi Automobile's shareholders changed to Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co. Ltd. at that time through the acquisition of Guangdong Fudi Automobile Co., Ltd. 100% equity to meet one of the necessary conditions to obtain the production qualification.

In fact, in May 2017, Xiaopeng Auto announced that it would build its own factory in Zhaoqing. In December of the same year, the foundation stone laying ceremony was completed for the Zhaoqing plant of Xiaopeng Auto, which is the first self-built vehicle production base in the world.

Zhaoqing Xiaopeng Automobile Intelligent Network Technology Industrial Park planning a total area of 3,000 acres, of which the vehicle production project covers an area of 1,500 acres, the factory plant *** with stamping, welding, painting, assembly, Pack five workshops, with four different models of assembly flexible production line and a flexible battery assembly line, *** counting the setup of 264 sets of intelligent industrial robots. In addition, the plant has a dynamic test track covering 18 kinds of test surfaces and a variety of functional tests such as NVH, handling and braking comfort, sealing, and automatic parking system.

The production workshops of the Zhaoqing factory were fully roofed in September 2019, and since then, pre-production has been carried out for equipment debugging, and the entire production process has been run through and verified through the small batch trial production of the Xiaopeng P7 engineering trial car.

It is understood that the plant stamping workshop against the industry's first-class level of planning and construction, the use of advanced CNC hydraulic tensioning pads, linear seven-axis handling robots, German imports of CNC molding equipment, such as the construction of a 6600-ton large-scale fully automated stamping production line. At the same time, the stamping workshop adopts the design concept of zero inventory and linear logistics, and the high-speed robot conveying system, the production beat can reach 12 pieces per minute.

The welding workshop is equipped with 210 ABB welding robots, which are mainly used for spot welding, riveting, gluing, arc welding, handling and gripping, etc., realizing the automation rate of first and second level assemblies to reach 100%.

The coating workshop adopts cathodic electrophoresis with film pretreatment, which is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving than the traditional phosphating process because it does not contain phosphorus, and the amount of slag produced is reduced by 94%, which saves energy by about 25%.

The final assembly workshop adopts highly automated material rationing system, automatic navigation of AGV robots, fully automatic gluing robots and other technologies, which builds a highly automated and highly intelligent intelligent logistics system in the workshop.

In the final assembly workshop, there is also an independent inspection workshop, which is set up with 3 kinds of full-project inspection lines, including traditional calibration, ADAS and high-voltage safety inspection.

Small Peng Automobile insiders previously disclosed that the Zhaoqing factory has begun to debug equipment early this year, and has begun trial operation.
