Prospects for the application of superconducting technology

Superconducting technology is based on superconducting materials, which are conductive materials that have no or very low electrical resistance, with almost no loss of electrical energy during the flow.

The realization of superconductivity is often necessary to lower the conductor to a certain temperature (at least minus one hundred degrees Celsius), the resistance suddenly tends to zero. Materials with this characteristic are called superconducting materials. In recent years, with the development of materials science, superconducting materials performance is constantly optimized to achieve the critical temperature of superconductivity in the improvement. At present, although scientists have synthesized composite materials with superconducting properties at room temperature, but this is still limited to the laboratory. As for its application prospects (role), representative of the following aspects:

(1) superconducting no resistance without loss was first thought of for long-distance transmission lines, but currently impossible, because it is not a general wire and need to cool down.

(2) The next thought is to be used in large-capacity electrical equipment, such as superconducting large-capacity generators, generator coils superconducting no resistance and no loss, power generation efficiency is very high, more power.

(3) There is also the application to the need to generate strong magnetic devices, such as magnetic levitation trains, nuclear magnetic **** vibration device. Because the generation of strong magnetism depends on the large current in the electromagnetic coil. Superconducting coils then have ultra-high currents that produce ultra-strong magnetic fields.

From a practical point of view, points (2) and (3) are the breakthrough points for future applications of superconducting technology.

Looking for adoption.
