Diagnosis and treatment routine of transcutaneous jaundice meter

1. Ensure that the power supply of the transcutaneous jaundice meter is adequate, that the sensor is intact, and that the device is configured according to the instructions in the device manual. The patient needs to expose parts of the skin (e.g. forehead, bridge of the nose, earlobes) for measurement by the transdermal jaundice meter.

2. Determine the area to be measured with the device based on experience or the instructions for use of the device.

3. The transdermal jaundice meter's sensor is placed in contact with the patient's skin and the measurement is taken according to the device's operating instructions. The instrument sends specific light waves through the skin to measure and calculate the concentration of bilirubin.
