I. Adelaide is a port city in Australia and the capital of South Australia, situated in the southeast of the state on the coastal plain between the Lofty Hills and Gulf of St. Vincent. It is bordered by the Torrens River. The port is 12 kilometers northwest of the city, with a railroad connection.
