There is a health school in Taizhou called Taizhou Health School, but it merged with Taizhou Vocational and Technical College in 2000. At present, no health school in Taizhou can recruit junior high school graduates. Taizhou Vocational and Technical College offers health specialty, but recruits high school graduates.
The School of Medical Technology of Taizhou Vocational and Technical College is an "advanced collective in the national education system" and has been identified as a national training base for skilled nursing professionals by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health. There are 73 full-time teachers, including 32 professors and associate professors and 26 lecturers. There are 2507 full-time students.
