Weinan, formerly known as Xialuan and Lianshao, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Shaanxi Province. Weinan is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation, known as the root of China, the source of culture, the hometown of three saints and the hometown of generals. Weinan is located in the eastern part of Guanzhong Plain and the eastern part of Shaanxi Province, with Weihe River as the axis, forming five landform types: north and south mountains, two tablelands and plain in the middle, belonging to temperate monsoon climate.

Linwei District is located in the eastern part of Weihe Plain, at the intersection of four giant tectonic systems, namely, Qinling latitudinal, Qilu river mountain, Neocathaysian and Longxi spiral. The whole territory is a trapezoid rectangle with high in the south and low in the north, which is divided into four geomorphic units: Qinling, hilly and gully, Loess Plateau and Weihe Plain.
Qinling Mountain covers an area of 99.84 square kilometers, accounting for 7.9%. The hilly gully is 64.45 square kilometers, accounting for 5.1%; Loess tableland is 256.54 square kilometers, accounting for 20.3%; Weihe plain is 842.93 square kilometers, accounting for 66.7%. At an altitude of 330 ~ 2449 meters, Jianyuling, the highest peak in China, is located in Qiaonan Town, with an altitude of 2449 meters and an altitude of 338 meters in the urban area.
The lowest point is in the Weihe River floodplain, with an altitude of 330 meters. The Weihe River winds through the middle from west to east, and the Zero River, Laishui River and Chishui River flow into the Weihe River in a "Sichuan" shape from south to north. It has formed a landform with undulating peaks, continuous hills, rivers and streams, and continuous platforms.
