Konka K520
Konka SSD products cut into the user market with high-quality materials and brand endorsements, and established Konka Xinying Semiconductor Technology to promote the development of Konka semiconductor business. At present, we have our own memory chip packaging and testing factory. Its SSD adopts Samsung's high-quality V-NAND TLC flash granules and Rong Hui's flagship main control chip, which determines its extremely stable product quality and excellent performance.
Hardware information
What we got today is Konka's K520 SSD, which implements the SATAⅲIII III transmission standard, so although it is an M.2280 SSD with a bandwidth of 6Gb/s, this SSD can provide three capacity versions of 250GB/500GB/ 1TB, and we tested the 1TB version this time.
SM2258XT
This SSD adopts a single-sided PCB design, which has a certain effect on improving the heat dissipation performance of SSD. A * * * has four flash memory particles without external cache, and the main control chip is SM2258XT of Rong Hui. As the main control chip adopted by the mainstream SATA SSD at present, SM2258XT has four flash memory interface channels, and also supports NANDXtend data error correction technology patented by Rong Hui Science and Technology, which can effectively prolong the service life of SSD.
Disk 0 is Konka.
Konka's logo and code are printed on the surface of the flash memory chip, but according to official information, Samsung's V-NAND flash memory particles are used. Let's test it.
Samsung 64-layer thin-layer flash memory particles
Through the test results, we can see that this SSD does use Samsung's 64-layer flash memory particles. Samsung's flash memory particles have always been the industry benchmark, so this further proves the reliability of this K520 SSD.
Physical test
First, we use CrystalDiskMark to test the continuous reading and writing speed of this SSD. Software reading and writing speed test tends to be non-compressed algorithm, and the non-compressed algorithm SSD has the characteristics of no speed reduction. The version of CrystalDiskMark used in the test is 6. 1.0 x64, the default queue depth is 1, and the default number of tests is 5. Let's take a look at the test results.
CDM test
Through the test results, we can see that in CrystalDiskMark test, the maximum continuous reading speed of this SSD is 554.5MB/s, and the maximum continuous writing speed is 504.1MB/s/s. This achievement has reached the level of the current mainstream SATA solid state drive, and the overall performance is excellent.
In the ATTO test, because the measurement dimension data becomes the size of the actual application document file, the test results are more in line with our daily use scenarios and the test results are more meaningful.
ATTO test
In the ATTO test, the reading and writing performance of this SSD continues the previous performance level, reaching 556MB/s and 505MB/s, which is still very stable, which is enough to show its outstanding performance in daily real-life use scenarios.
The performance of 4k determines the actual experience of the product in daily complex application scenarios, which can better reflect the actual performance of the product to a certain extent. We usually use it as SSD Benchmak for testing.
As a solid-state hard disk
As a solid-state hard disk
We can see that in the 4K random reading and writing test, the maximum 4K random reading and the maximum 4K random writing of this K520 SSD are 46K and 76K respectively, with a total score of 825. This performance is still the mainstay, which means that it can bring us real performance improvement in daily use.
In order to verify the performance of this SSD when writing large files, the author wrote 40GB of data to it, and we can observe the actual performance of this SSD during the whole writing process.
Large file write test
Through the test, we can see that the performance is very stable during the whole writing process, and there is no obvious performance degradation. It has been fluctuating around 300MB/s, with an average performance of 302MB/s, which is enough to prove the reliability and stability of this SSD.
In the last theoretical test, we tested the comprehensive performance of this SSD through PC MARK8. As an old pc testing tool, the built-in storage performance test of PC MARK8 can accurately reflect the real performance of storage products under various simulated daily loads.
Comprehensive performance test
Through the test, we can see that the total score of Konka K520 SSD in the test of PC MARK8 is 4952, and the specific bandwidth speed is 232.4 MB/s ... This performance is still the level of the first echelon of SATA solid state drives, and the overall quality is excellent.
Practical application test
After running all the theoretical performance tests, in order to fully display this SSD, we imitated the requirements of the actual application scenario and tested it from two aspects: the actual writing of large files and the game loading test.
10GB file write
At first, the author selected a large video file package with the size of about 10GB to test the writing of this Konka K520. We can see that in the initial stage, the writing speed was above 500MB/s, and even in the stable period, it still maintained the performance of 483 MB/s, which can be said to be quite unexpected, showing the strong stability of this product.
Game load test
In order to show the performance advantages of SSD most intuitively, the author selected the masterpiece Assassin's Creed: Odyssey for testing. In the loading test of "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey", the huge data throughput brought by the extreme picture resolution of this masterpiece has greatly tested the performance of SSD. Konka's K520 only took 16.38 seconds, which is no different from the products of big manufacturers, and really makes the latecomers come to the top.
Evaluation summary
The storage industry needs strong technical support. With the acceleration of the 5G era and content creators, our demand for the performance and capacity of storage products has greatly increased. Konka's K520, as a new entrant, can have such a stable performance, which is really impressive, both in terms of large-capacity file writing and game loading speed. Of course, this is inseparable from the endorsement of Samsung's flash memory particles and Rong Hui's main control chip. Recently, a small partner needs to upgrade the SSD. I don't think you should miss this Konka K520.
