Three criteria for evaluating mental health
Xu Youxin (1988) proposed that mental health can be measured by three standards (or from three dimensions), namely, experience standard, operation standard and development standard. At the same time, he pointed out that we should not only consider one kind of standards independently, but also consider and measure three kinds of standards comprehensively.
First, the standard of experience refers to an individual's subjective experience and inner world, mainly including whether he has a good mood and proper self-evaluation.
Second, the operating standard refers to the process and effect of psychological activities obtained through observation, experiment and test. Its core is efficiency, which mainly includes the efficiency of personal psychological activities and personal social efficiency and social functions, such as the efficiency of work and study, the harmony of interpersonal relationships and so on.
Third, the development standard, that is, pay attention to the longitudinal investigation and analysis of people's psychological development.
When measuring mental health, we should combine the three standards and make a comprehensive investigation.
