The main work of community nutrition management includes understanding the nutritional health status of community population and its influencing factors, community nutrition monitoring, intervention and evaluation, and community nutrition improvement. That is, five procedures and three contents.
Community nutrition management has three aspects.
1. To understand the nutritional and health status of community population and its influencing factors.
It is an important content of community nutrition work to carry out the nutrition and health survey of community population. The purpose is to fully understand the food consumption level and nutrient intake of the surveyed community population and evaluate whether the dietary structure is reasonable and the nutrition is balanced. At the same time, understand the occurrence of nutrition-related diseases, such as iron deficiency anemia, night blindness, diabetes, obesity, tumor, osteoporosis and other common chronic diseases.
Nutritional epidemiological investigation and statistical methods should also be applied to understand various factors affecting the nutritional status and disease occurrence of community people, such as age, occupation, education level, grain output, family income, eating behavior, living habits, social psychology and ecological environment. It provides scientific basis for taking targeted prevention and control measures.
2. Community nutrition monitoring, intervention and evaluation.
Through regular monitoring, analysis and evaluation of relevant nutritional status indicators, we can grasp the dynamic trend of population nutritional status, find out nutritional problems and their causes in time, and understand the relationship between nutrition and diseases, so as to take targeted nutritional intervention measures to improve nutrition and related health problems.
3. Community nutrition improvement.
Various measures can be taken to improve the nutritional health status of community residents, such as popularizing nutritional knowledge, improving sanitary conditions, promoting food fortification and nutrient supplementation to prevent nutritional deficiency, promoting family agriculture, and adjusting dietary structure to prevent chronic diseases. Among them, nutrition education and consulting service is a major and regular work. Through this activity, the nutrition knowledge and national nutrition policy will be publicized to all sectors of society, so that all sectors of society can improve their nutrition knowledge, achieve scientific diet, reasonable nutrition and improve their health.
