When examining cerebrospinal fluid, the corresponding cerebrospinal fluid should be extracted from the spinal cord of the patient first, and then sent to the laboratory for biochemical examination. There are mainly the following normal values:
1, cerebrospinal fluid pressure. When normal adults lie on their side, the pressure of cerebrospinal fluid is 80- 180mm water column, and that of children or infants is 40- 100mm water column.
2. protein. Cerebrospinal fluid contains more protein. The content of protein in cerebrospinal fluid of normal people is 150-400mg/L, which is slightly higher in newborns and premature infants, reaching 2 g/L. protein increases, which is more common in brain tumors, spinal canal obstruction, polyneuritis and other diseases.
3. sugar. Cerebrospinal fluid contains a lot of sugar, the sugar content of normal adult cerebrospinal fluid is 450-750 mg/L, and the decrease of sugar content in cerebrospinal fluid is more common in bacterial infectious meningitis.
4. Chloride. The chloride content in cerebrospinal fluid of normal people is 72-75g/L. When bacterial infection occurs in nervous system, chloride will increase obviously.
