Under normal circumstances, it should be the highest protrusion of the whole palm, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. Like a fish, it is reddish in color, full of muscles and without depression. In clinical practice, thenar is divided into three parts: upper, middle, lower and triple energizer.
If the upper part is red in color, it is mostly damp-heat in the upper jiao, or there is inflammation in the upper respiratory tract, such as acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, oral ulcer and so on.
If the upper part is blue, everyone has a headache and a sore neck.
If the upper part is purple-black, and there is venous tension, it indicates hypertension, constipation or defecation.
If the upper color is white, all patients have symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, dreaminess, palpitation and fatigue.
The red color in the middle indicates that the patient has moderate focal discomfort, such as angina pectoris, atrial retraction, acute hepatitis, acute pancreatitis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, etc.
There is purple in the middle, which is mostly a manifestation of congestion. Patients often have costal pain, precordial pain and late gastric tingling.
If the middle color is pale white, it means edema, qi stagnation and blood deficiency, poor eyesight or eye diseases.
The lower red color indicates rheumatic fever, mild abdominal pain, low back pain, cystitis, urethritis and so on.
The purple below indicates nephritis, low back pain, low back pain, and women have blood clots during menstruation.
If the lower part is pale white, it means that the lower limbs are swollen and weak, with more leucorrhea and weak waist and knees.

The lower part of the red color is mostly damp and hot, such as acute urinary system infection, sprain of waist and legs, acute arthritis, hemorrhoid bleeding, menstrual cramps and so on.
The lower part is bluish black, and most of them are pain manifestations, such as low back pain, rheumatism, menorrhagia, lump, edema of lower limbs and eyelids, nephritis, uremia and so on.
There are lumps, dark red or bright red, and there are many cerebral overflows.
Blood, brain hypertension, brain edema, tuberculosis, cavity and hemoptysis.
Red or purple indicates depression, tension, hemorrhoids, swollen feet, tooth inflammation, otorhinolaryngology, hemiplegia and paralysis.
White indicates hearing impairment, rheumatism and anemia.
When the bulge is obvious, there are many palpitations, visual impairment, aneurysms, heart diseases and so on. Under normal circumstances, thenar should be alkaline.
The large and plump thenar indicates that the physique is alkaline. The upper side is bounded by the root area and transverse area of the little finger, and the lower side is bounded by the thenar throwing line, from the extension line between the index finger and middle finger of the left hand to the extension line between the ring finger and little finger of the right hand. The part occupied by this center is the alkaline area.
This area is wide and large, indicating that the physique is alkaline, small indicates that the body weight is acidic, and the excessive drooping of thenar parabola indicates that the physique is alkaline.
People with acidic constitution are prone to baldness, alopecia and seborrheic dermatitis. Drinking strong tea and coffee will not affect their sleep, and they are prone to high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, cerebral congestion, diabetes, colds and fever, poor physical resistance, and poor cold and heat resistance.
People who emphasize alkali tend to have early gray hair, and drinking coffee and strong tea will affect sleep, insomnia, hypotension, gastroptosis and asthma.
