The planning and preparation of occupational health and safety management system audit is an indispensable and important link before on-site audit, which mainly includes determining the audit scope, appointing the audit team leader and forming the audit team, making the audit plan and preparing the audit documents.

1. Determine the audit scope

Audit scope refers to the scope of activities, products and services covered by the audited occupational health and safety management system. Determining the audit scope is essentially to define the responsibility scope of the audited party for continuous improvement and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and other requirements, and to ensure the implementation and normal operation of its occupational health and safety management system. 2. Set up an audit team

The audit plan shall be confirmed by the auditor, including at the first meeting. If the auditee has special circumstances, the audit team can make appropriate adjustments.

The audit of occupational health and safety management system is generally divided into two stages, namely the first stage audit and the second stage on-site audit. Because of the different emphases of audit work in these two stages, it is necessary to make audit plans separately.

4. Prepare audit working documents

The audit of occupational health and safety management system is a process of judging and verifying the occupational health and safety management system of the employer according to the audit criteria. It emphasizes the documentation and systematization of audit, that is, the audit process should be recorded in the form of documents.
