The so-called fear is a strong and depressed emotional state that individuals or groups deeply feel in real or imagined dangers. And fear is an obstacle to improve the physical performance of primary school students, which must be overcome. Regular participation in sports can improve pupils' self-confidence in overcoming difficulties, cultivate their spirit of hard work, tenacious fighting style and perseverance, thus effectively eliminating pupils' fear.
(2) Good psychological quality of primary school students can be cultivated through sports competitions.
Through contact with students, I found that many students are shy. They are like trumpets at home, but they become dumb when they go out. Some students lack the basic ability to communicate with others, and they have never even talked with strangers. The comprehensive curriculum of primary school physical education, whether based on independent inquiry or in the form of group interaction and cooperation, can not be separated from the cooperation and communication between teachers and students. Groups of several students have the same goal. In order to complete the task, each team member must help each other, unite and be friendly. In this harmonious and warm atmosphere, introverted members get encouragement and support, talk more and more, become more and more courageous, and slowly learn how to communicate with others. For example, in the first grade I taught, there was a child named Zhu Yalong, who was introverted. Because of his poor grades in Chinese and mathematics, the children are reluctant to communicate with him, and he has no confidence in his study. However, I soon found that this child has extraordinary athletic talent, so I asked him to take part in the school track and field meeting once a year and let him practice well in the usual physical education class. Through exercise, he soon realized the fun of learning. And gradually regain self-confidence. In this way, two months later, he finished the game with two first places in the school sports meeting, and many students became more and more fond of communicating with him. He also gradually became cheerful. Although his achievements in Chinese and mathematics are still not satisfactory, I believe he will overcome difficulties and catch up, just like his performance in the competition.
(3) Actively participating in sports is to cultivate the social adaptability of primary school students.
Good social adaptation is an important part of pupils' mental health. Because sports are mass and competitive, sports activities can not only enhance students' physique, improve sports skills and techniques, but also develop students' intelligence, cultivate their sentiment, exercise their will, cultivate the spirit of collectivism and enhance organizational discipline. In physical education class, especially in group games, if you want to win, you must rely on the cooperation, unity and even tacit understanding of the group to win the final victory. All these can cultivate the social adaptability of primary school students.
