About measuring heartbeat range: the number of heartbeats per minute is called heart rate. Normal adults have a quiet heart rate of 60- 100, with an average heart rate of 75. Heart rate below 60 times is called bradycardia, and over 100 times is called tachycardia. Heart rate will change with age, gender, etc. The newborn's heart rate can exceed 130, and then it will gradually slow down until it approaches adolescence. Among adults, women have a slightly faster heart rate than men. The heart rate of the same person increases during exercise or emotional excitement, and slows down during quiet and sleep. People who often do physical exercise and manual labor have a slow heart rate when they are quiet, but their heart rate may increase greatly when they exercise vigorously.
About the range of blood pressure measurement: systolic blood pressure 100- 120mmHg, diastolic blood pressure 60-80mmHg. If the adult is at rest, the diastolic blood pressure is continuously higher than 90mmHg or the systolic blood pressure is continuously higher than 140mmHg, which is called hypertension; if the diastolic blood pressure is lower than 60mmHg or the systolic blood pressure is lower than 90mmHg, it is called hypotension.
Note: If the person whose blood pressure and heart rate are measured has just finished exercising or is emotional before the test, they should wait until it is quiet, so as not to affect the test results.
