First, art itself is a good resource for mental health education.
To embody mental health education in art teaching, we must first know what mental health is: "It refers to the wholeness and coordination of people's basic psychological activities, that is, the complete coordination of knowledge, emotion, will, behavior and adaptability to society". Art itself has the function of "education". Teachers must delve into curriculum standards and teaching materials, explore the psychological education content of art itself, and master what students need, which is beneficial to students' psychological health. Art is a good carrier of mental health education. The works of art from ancient times to the present reflect the painter's inner thoughts and aesthetic pursuits, as well as his passion and helplessness. Empty preaching can easily lead to students' aesthetic fatigue, and art education is to cultivate students' temperament with the visual experience of schema aesthetics, so that students can follow the rhythm of artistic works. This is an aesthetic process of "moistening things quietly", allowing students to have a dialogue with artistic works and produce emotional voices with artistic works.
Second, the art teaching process is also a very important mental health education process.
Teaching is a process of multilateral interaction. In this specific environment, the relationship between teachers and students, classroom order, competition and cooperation among students, teachers' praise and criticism in class, and teachers' handling of students' classroom behavior will have a great impact on students' emotions. The so-called emotion refers to "subjective experience on the cognitive level, physiological activation on the physiological level and external behavior on the expression level". It can reflect whether students are interested in the course.
Art class can provide students with a healthy, progressive, free and developing learning space. Only by creating a democratic, equal and harmonious teaching environment and a relaxed and open learning atmosphere can teachers stimulate students' positive emotions, which is the premise of students' psychological healthy development. There are inherent advantages in art teaching. Teachers can create such a space atmosphere through a large number of pictures, videos, physical objects, hands-on demonstrations, or let students experience it personally, so as to improve students' interest in learning and enthusiasm for participation and achieve the purpose of education. On the contrary, the classroom atmosphere is too tense, rigid and hostile, which will make students feel confused, sluggish and antagonistic, leading to classroom disorder. Therefore, only by creating happy learning emotions can classroom teaching really play its psychological education function.
However, art class is not a mental health class after all. How to make it "spring breeze melts rain" and "moisten things silently" is worth discussing:
1. Teachers should establish a modern teaching goal view.
First of all, teachers should change their teaching concepts. With the development of society and the rapid development of science and technology, students' ability and speed to accept new things are getting faster and faster. The traditional teaching concept can no longer meet the needs of modern students in 2 1 century. However, teachers often only focus on starting from themselves and instilling their own ideas into students, without really understanding the psychological characteristics of students now, that is, teaching freshmen in the old way, which will definitely lead to so-called "problem students." Traditional teaching is a kind of knowledge teaching, which emphasizes knowledge transmission and takes students' acquisition of knowledge as the ultimate goal. For example, some art teachers have high professional quality in art appreciation class, and they speak for themselves, regardless of students' reaction, which violates the "student-oriented" teaching law and is not conducive to the cultivation of students' aesthetic experience. Modern art education has unique advantages. Modern teaching conditions enable students to enjoy a large number of excellent works of art in a short time, and students are more selective. This requires teachers to keep pace with the times, constantly enrich their knowledge, satisfy students' curiosity in all aspects, and give better psychological guidance. The concept of "teaching and educating people" advocated now is that "teaching" is the means and "educating people" is the purpose. It requires teachers not only to have the level of ideological and political work and knowledge and skills training, but also to have the ability to optimize students' psychological quality, so as to give full play to the comprehensive role of classroom teaching.
2. Teachers should study the textbooks carefully and explore the main contents of infiltration.
"Aesthetic education is an educational activity aimed at cultivating students' ability to appreciate beauty and establish beauty, and urging them to pursue life interest and ideal realm. "(3) There are many art textbooks that can be popularized and become good resources for mental health education. Such as cultivating school spirit and discipline, good habits, the spirit of unity and mutual assistance, loving the motherland and so on.
According to the "Li San" course of moral education in our school, the first grade begins with "going back to school", and one of them is "wearing school uniforms". I set up "my school uniform, my design"-a middle school uniform design course, combined with the colorful clothing design course in the textbook. In the teaching process, some students think that "school uniforms are unremarkable, have no characteristics, and their personality cannot be publicized". Of course, I praised the students' ideas, but also put forward the characteristics of school uniforms and the symbol of a student, encouraged students to cultivate their creativity and personality, and wanted students to convey the basic concept of a social person.
According to my students' neglect of traditional art and their immersion in American and Japanese cartoons, I also carried out appreciation of calligraphy works in past dynasties and appreciation of Chinese and foreign art classics. In the same way, it is necessary to carry out the education of "moistening things quietly" among students and baptize their psychology.
3. Carefully choose teaching content and skillfully use various teaching methods.
We often say: there is no fixed law in teaching, and the law is impermanent. Similarly, there is no fixed method to infiltrate mental health education in art teaching. Infiltrating psychological education in the teaching process is a natural and gradual way to achieve educational goals, which has a subtle effect. There is no shortcut to education. Teachers should adopt appropriate teaching methods according to their own characteristics, subject characteristics and different teaching contents in order to achieve the expected educational goals. For example, some teachers are good at using video resources, so that students can feel the charm of art in the process of audio-visual and cultivate their hearts. Some teachers use beautiful language to make the appreciation class no longer boring, but immersed in picturesque imagination and so on. But no matter which method you use, you should follow the principle of "students first" and don't let the teacher sing "one-man show" alone. After all, the object of education is students.
But at the same time, we should also pay attention to the following two points:
First of all, teachers should find a suitable starting point according to the specific content of art as a course and the mental health education resources contained in these contents. We are against putting on a show. In the process of infiltration, it pays attention to nature and appropriateness, and can be integrated with the whole teaching content and process, interlocking, not artificial, not mechanically copied, and out of thin air.
Secondly, in the specific infiltration process, teachers should also grasp the "degree". After all, there is a qualitative difference between art class and psychological consultation or counseling. It is not appropriate to concentrate on infiltrating mental health education in a class for too long, let alone carry out psychological education without art, otherwise it will pretend to be the role of the host, not called subject infiltration, but called psychological counseling class.
Therefore, in the process of art teaching, teachers' educational wisdom should be fully mobilized, and psychological health education and guidance should be given in time to relieve students' confusion and fear. Every problem behavior has a deep psychological problem. If teachers can use educational wisdom, they can be comfortable in the classroom and guide students to grow up lively, free and healthy in your classroom.
