Mental Health Status of Middle School Students investigative steps

First, the survey object and method

1. Respondents: Five middle schools in the suburb of * * county were selected by random stratified cluster sampling, including high school 1 school, vocational high school 1 school and junior high school. Each school randomly selected a class, a total of 15 classes * * 699 students, and conducted a questionnaire survey. Among them, junior 108, junior 12 1, senior 169, senior19, senior 165438 and senior 69. 328 boys and 37 girls1. 800 questionnaires were actually distributed and 699 questionnaires were recovered, with a recovery rate of 87.4%. Excluding 35 questionnaires with scores higher than 7, 664 questionnaires were valid, with an effective rate of 95.0%.

2. Survey tool: The Mental Health Diagnostic Test (mht) revised by Zhou Bucheng of East China Normal University is adopted, which is suitable for comprehensively testing the mental health status of middle school students. Mht*** has 100 items, including 8 content scales and 1 validity scale (i.e. polygraph scale). The test has wide coverage, high screening rate, high reliability and validity. The eight content scales are: learning anxiety, anxiety about others, loneliness, self-blame, allergy, physical symptoms, terror and impulsiveness. There are two answers "yes" and "no" after each question, and the subjects are required to choose according to their own real situation. The total score is the cumulative score of eight content scales. Generally speaking, the subscale indicates whether the anxiety level is strong and whether the anxiety range is wide; The total score indicates the general tendency of personal anxiety. In this test, the score of the overall scale is above 65, and the score of each content scale is above 8 as an index to examine their mental health. If a student's total score exceeds 65 points, it shows that the student's total anxiety level is high, with a wide range, emotional distress and behavioral problems. When the standard score of any one of the eight content scales reaches more than 8, it shows that the mental health problems of students in this area have reached the point where targeted counseling is needed.

3. Survey method: This survey takes the class as a unit, with the help of the class teacher, and uses the students' self-study time to conduct collective tests. All data were processed by spss 12.0 statistical software.
