Moderator: Hello, audience friends! This is the live TV program "The Road to Health". Today we are going to talk about insomnia. What do you think of unhealthy sleep?

Dream pigeon: I think sleeping too long or too short will affect your health. For example, some people often wake up at noon, so long sleep will definitely affect their health. In addition, I think dreaming more has a great influence on sleep.

Li Shunwei: To put it bluntly, poor sleep means two things, that is, sleeping too little and sleeping too much. Too little sleep is actually insomnia. Insomnia has many manifestations, such as tossing and turning in bed, which we call difficulty falling asleep. Some people fall asleep quickly, but they are easy to wake up in the middle of the night, even several times, and their sleep quality is very low. Others wake up earlier, and then they think about many things and can't sleep over and over again. This is called difficulty in maintaining sleep.

Moderator: What are the causes of insomnia?

Li Shunwei: There are many reasons for insomnia. The first is insomnia caused by physical illness. For example, this patient suffers from insomnia due to pain. This is a very typical case (Patient A). The pain is so severe that I can't sleep. You can see that she has many herpes on her mouth.

Patient A: The pain is concentrated and dispersed for a while.

Patient B: I think one of the main reasons for my insomnia is stress, because I was facing the postgraduate entrance examination, with heavy ideological burden and tight study tasks.

Dream pigeon: I have the same experience. I also had insomnia during the postgraduate entrance examination. I didn't dare to sleep at first, for fear of affecting my study time. Later, I habitually studied at that time and couldn't sleep.

Li Shunwei: Besides physical reasons, sometimes I can't sleep because of environmental changes.

Moderator: Is insomnia caused by environmental changes temporary?

Li Shunwei: It should be temporary. If we go back to the previous environment, we will recover. Of course, some people can't adjust their sleep well because they travel frequently. In addition, irregular life can also lead to insomnia, which we call bad sleep habits. For example, in the college entrance examination, students study hard and get little sleep. Of course, there are also some emotional problems, such as husband and wife quarreling and young people falling in love.

Moderator: Let's take a look at Patient B's description of his insomnia:

Patient B: It's really annoying to be unable to sleep, because there are still many things to do in the morning and classes to study. I usually can't sleep well the night before, and I have to wake up 4-5 times every night. I can't sleep for half an hour to an hour at a time, and the whole sleep quality is very low, which also affects the next day's study.

Moderator: There is another interesting situation. In fact, everyone else heard the patient snoring, but when he woke up, he said that he was not asleep. Why?

Li Shunwei: There are indeed such patients who come to see a doctor. Once, a patient in his fifties told me that he had never slept in 32 years, but his wife said that he was still snoring when he slept, but when he woke up, he said that he had not slept. I tell patients that this situation is generally impossible.

Dream pigeon: Is this an illusion?

Li Shunwei: Not an illusion. His condition is called fear of sleeping. He must have experienced insomnia in the past. He usually falls asleep slowly, can't sleep for a long time, or sleeps lightly, so he always feels that he is not asleep, but actually asleep.

Moderator: Are there many patients with insomnia and anxiety? How to solve it?

Li Shunwei: There are many patients with insomnia and anxiety. We have an inspection method called supervised sleep meter, and many of them have this kind of equipment. Specifically, if the patient thinks that he has a lot of insomnia, we will let him do an EEG and blood oxygen saturation in a sleeping environment, and judge by overnight observation, and let the patient believe that he is actually asleep in a short time through scientific data.

Moderator: Some people say that dreaming more is a sign of poor sleep quality, while others say that dreaming more means that you are really asleep. Which statement is correct?

Li Shunwei: Both of these statements make sense, because you must be asleep when you dream, there is no doubt about it. Some people who sleep at night always have nightmares, one after another, and sometimes they wake up and dream again. It's like a joke in a TV series. This belongs to insomnia. It's time to see a doctor.

Moderator: Some people are at the other extreme, especially able to sleep. If you don't wake him, you can sleep for more than ten hours. Is this normal?

Li Shunwei: It should be said that it is normal to make up after working too hard, but we have encountered an abnormal situation, which we call uncontrollable and uncontrollable sleep. For example, when walking, you will suddenly fall asleep, and your head will wake up after hitting a telephone pole. There is also a rural child who fell asleep halfway up the ladder, which is very serious. It is called narcolepsy, which is a pathological state.

Moderator: Is snoring a morbid condition?

Li Shunwei: It used to be said that snorers slept soundly. In fact, that kind of snoring is a pathological state. Some people suddenly hold their breath when they snore. We call it sleep apnea. In this case, it is found that the oxygen level is very poor and it is in an anoxic state. Studies have shown that snoring is very serious, that is, patients with sleep apnea will have certain cognitive problems, such as poor memory and inattention. Such patients are generally fatter.

Moderator: What are the hazards of insomnia?

Li Shunwei: Insomnia is definitely harmful to health. First of all, my brain will be unclear, and I always feel confused, inattentive, poor memory, forgetful and irritable. In addition, it will reduce immune function and make it easy to get sick.

Moderator: Let's take a look at how Patient B solves the sleep problem:

Patient B: I think I should learn to decompress. I also summed up some methods myself. For example, after dinner, I will go outside to exercise for at least 20 minutes to an hour. It's best to have a fever and sweat, and then I'd better drink some milk half an hour before going to bed. Lying in bed thinking nothing. If you don't want to review things during the day, you can keep your mood calm. I think sleeping is more helpful.

Li Shunwei: Drinking warm milk before going to bed will help you sleep. I have an interesting patient. He once wore a pajamas that he was satisfied with, and then fell asleep. So he bought a dozen pajamas, put on one before going to bed every time, and slept soundly from then on.

Moderator: Are there many people with sleep disorders?

Li Shunwei: There are many people with sleep disorders. Last World Sleep Day (March 2 1), a questionnaire survey in five major cities in China showed that 48.6% of adults had insomnia. Only about a quarter of people go to see a doctor, and many people take medicine by themselves. Many people think that sleep is not a big problem, so they don't have to go. In fact, many people are just a drug dependence, and they can't sleep without taking medicine.

Moderator: So what are the good solutions?

Li Shunwei: I think if you can't sleep, don't lie in bed, read newspapers, novels and listen to music. You'd better leave your bed, for example, go to the next room to find something you feel sad about, such as reading a boring book. Finally, if you can't watch it anymore, it's easy to fall asleep.

Moderator: Mr Xu is 69 years old. Why do old people love to take a nap during the day and sleep very lightly at night? Why can't you lie down and sleep? Is it easy to fall asleep when sitting?

Li Shunwei: The sleep of old people is different from that of young people. We found that old people generally have a shallow sleep, basically no deep sleep, and the quality of sleep is not high enough, so they always take some naps during the day.

Moderator: Ms. Su is 42 years old and comes from Shanghai. How long does a child 12 years old sleep?

Li Shunwei: As we all know, the fetus sleeps in its stomach every day. Babies born usually sleep 17 or 8 hours every day. /kloc-children aged 0/2 usually sleep 9- 10 hours a day.

Moderator: Mr Tian Heilongjiang, aged 37. I can sleep every night, but I wake up at 2 or 3. I can't sleep when I wake up. What should I do?

Li Shunwei: Especially in the emotional aspect, some depressed patients often wake up in the morning, which is a very important symptom. If they do this for a long time, they should see a doctor in time.

Moderator: Mr. Zhang from Shaanxi, aged 39. I have trouble getting up at night. I often wake up after sleeping for an hour or two and have many dreams. My sleep quality is very poor. How should I treat it?

Li Shunwei: First of all, we should look at the reasons for getting up frequently, such as going to the toilet, and see if there are any other problems. The most common problem among gay men is prostate problems or urinary tract infections.

Moderator: Mr. Tong from Liaoning Province, 46 years old. I have sleep apnea syndrome. I often wake myself up. Ask an expert to tell me where I should go for treatment.

Li Shunwei: At present, all major respiratory departments or neurology departments have this kind of inspection method, which is to supervise and inspect sleep instruments. There are many corresponding treatments, even surgery.

Moderator: Zhang 18 years old. I have just finished the college entrance examination, and my nervousness has not eased. I can't sleep every day. What should I do?

Li Shunwei: This student should relax now, and suggest taking more exercise to ensure a good life rule.

Moderator: Ms. Gong from Chongqing, 29 years old. I must sleep in a very quiet situation. If someone turns over when I am about to fall asleep, I will wake up. I am very sensitive, and it also affects my sleep. How should I treat it?

Li Shunwei: The process of sleep is to lose sight at first, then gradually calm down the limbs, finally lose hearing, and finally lose hearing. The solution is to create a comfortable and quiet sleeping environment. If it still doesn't work, it is recommended to use soft earplugs to block the sound.

Moderator: Does Ms. Pan's 54-year-old healthy sleep in Dalian include a nap? Is the habit of taking a nap good after all? What is the most scientific sleep time?

Li Shunwei: Generally speaking, people abroad don't have the habit of taking a nap. China people, especially southerners, have the habit of taking a nap. Nap time should not be too long, usually half an hour is enough.
