Ningxia Song and Dance Troupe's original large-scale national dance drama "Flower" is a repertoire carefully created by its creative team for three years. From 2006 to 20 10, the play was performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. In the process of creative planning, script formation and repertoire rehearsal, the play has been investigated and discussed many times, and only the script has been changed. During this period, Ningxia included the dance drama "Flower" in the creative planning of major fine works in the autonomous region, and fully guaranteed and promoted it. The drama also invited Zhang Jigang, the director and composer of the General Political Department, and Zhao Jiping to join as the general director and composer of the drama. Zhang Zongcan, Ding Ying, Ju Yi and Song Li are screenwriters, executive choreographers, dancers and fashion designers respectively. China Philharmonic Orchestra performed with TanJing, Wang Hongwei and Jia Lei as backup singers. Gu, a young dancer from the Song and Dance Troupe of the General Political Department, starred. Flower is a high-quality play. With colorful imagination and romantic expression, it tells the faithful love story of Hua Er, a Hui singer, and Yang Ge, a shepherd, in a yellow land in northwest China, highlighting the lofty theme of love, returning to nature and harmonious coexistence between man and nature. The whole play consists of the preface "Flowers bloom", "Flowers are handsome", "Flowers are yellow", "Flowers are red", "Flowers are withered" and the ending "Flowers forever", which realizes the integration and unity of ideological and artistic aesthetic tension in creative ideas and expression techniques. The drama combines Ningxia's "Hua 'er", Hui dance and romantic stories, and through carefully refined dance language, vividly portrays Hui singer Hua 'er who pursues true love and shepherd Yang Ge who is not afraid of violence, as well as loyal "a bunch of blacks", cute lambs, strong and fierce grass and other characters. Some of these dances, such as the purity of the golden soup bottle, the roughness of the Hui people stepping on their feet, the magnificence of the sheep dance, the beauty of the cradle of life and the noise of the "flower" song, left a deep impression on the audience. The three love duets that run through the whole drama have developed and expanded the vocabulary of Hui dance, with simple style and unique rhythm, and played an important role in shaping the characters of the dance drama, becoming an authentic dance drama belonging to Ningxia and China.

Choreography has a strong sense of role and emotion. According to different roles, determine the dance language that conforms to their respective identities. Based on the emotional change trajectory of the role, they look for emotional points, express their emotions in dance, express their emotions in dance, and integrate emotion with dance, thus creating beautiful and beautiful dance fragments.
