Why is it called the invisible killer?
Swine pant disease (mycoplasma pneumonia) is a familiar and unfamiliar pig disease. Familiarity is because it is well known. It is strange because it is a chronic consumptive disease, and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae has not been paid attention to by domestic pig farmers because of its low mortality.
The disease is becoming an invisible killer of pig farm benefits: it destroys the immune mechanism of pigs, and then infects other respiratory diseases, resulting in a decrease in daily weight gain of pigs and a decrease in feed conversion rate, which leads to a substantial increase in pig farm production costs and low economic benefits.
How harmful is mycoplasma?
1. An expert once said: "If you don't use mycoplasma vaccine in five years, you won't need to raise pigs", which shows the great harm of swine asthma. The incidence of asthma in China is 30%-80%. After the onset of mycoplasma, the growth rate of pigs decreased by 15%, and the feed-meat ratio increased by more than 20%. Chronic cases become stiff pigs, with slow growth, poor body shape, emaciation and high feed-meat ratio, and there is no economic benefit in continuing fattening.
2. Mycoplasma infection mainly inhibits the phagocytosis of alveolar macrophages, resulting in decreased immunity. In this case, the virulence of blue-ear disease virus increases, and it is easy to be infected with viruses and bacterial diseases such as porcine blue-ear disease, pseudorabies, accessory pig and infectious pleuropneumonia, classical swine fever and circovirus. Once mixed infection, it will bring great difficulties to treatment;
3. If mycoplasma can not be effectively purified, pigs will be in sub-health state, the stability of the whole pig farm will be reduced, various diseases will continue to occur, and the immune effect of many vaccines is also very poor. There is interaction between mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and porcine blue ear disease. For the whole pig farm, if the mycoplasma vaccine is immune well, even if blue ear disease occurs, it will reduce the invasion of other pathogens, thus reducing the degree of mixed infection.
The new era of raising pigs is coming. This is an era that pays more attention to costs and benefits. It is obviously backward to focus only on serious diseases. The future pig industry needs a larger pattern and overall thinking, and it should pay attention to systematic work. Therefore, in addition to serious diseases, we should also pay attention to chronic consumptive diseases and key points that affect comprehensive benefits.
Under what circumstances does pig wheezing often occur?
Mycoplasma belongs to conditional pathogenic bacteria. Mycoplasma is sensitive to high temperature and can occur all year round, but it is more common in winter and spring when the weather is cold. When pigs are attacked by thieves, the disease may be induced by high feeding density, poor ventilation, dark and damp pens, cold, crowded pigs, sudden change of feed, or temperature difference between day and night. The worse the breeding conditions, the greater the harm of diseases.
Diagnostic points of mycoplasma hyopneumoniae;
Typical symptoms of sick pigs are wheezing and coughing. If there is no secondary infection, the body temperature is normal, mainly manifested as accelerated breathing, severe persistent spasmodic cough, panting, sick pigs and sick dogs sitting, like pulling bellows, with a wheezing sound.
Chronic cases mainly occur in weaned piglets, finishing pigs and reserve sows. There is no obvious change in respiratory system, mainly cough, especially after eating and exercising in the morning and evening, standing still, hunching back, straightening neck and lowering head. The sick pig is thin, grows slowly and has messy fur. Later, due to serious lung injury, he will gasp and breathe faster.
Prevention and control scheme of swine asthma
Because most pig farms have pig pant disease, it has become a common practice to use drugs for health care, which has caused a great hidden danger of mycoplasma resistance to most conventional antibiotics. In the past, florfenicol and tetracycline, which were often used in our pig farms, had no good effect on mycoplasma. At present, the treatment of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae generally uses a new generation of Tewanmycin, Tamithromycin, Tilmicosin and Enrofloxacin, and the effect is good.
1. The daily health care plan should strengthen feeding management and group reasonably. Feed should be mixed with Fuzheng Jiedu Powder+florfenicol+doxycycline at the rate of 5000-1 0000g per ton, or Qingwen Baidu Powder at the rate of1kg+125g, Tamithromycin+300g and sulfachloropyridazine.
2. intramuscular injection of long-acting oxytetracycline and kanamycin with serious treatment scheme within 3 days after onset. Qingfei Zhike Powder 1000g/ ton+Taiwan Province mycin 1000g/ ton+Doxycycline 1000g/ ton was used in the large group, and licorice granules were used for drinking water.
3. Vaccine immunization scheme Choose healthy piglets with live vaccine mycoplasma from 7- 15-day-old manufacturers, only need to be immunized once, 1 dose; Equipped with special diluent and needle, 0.5ml or 1ml/ head; The needle is inserted vertically from the middle rib of the chest and injected into the lung; It can also be injected into the neck muscles. Breeding pigs are inoculated 1-2 times a year and injected intramuscularly.
How to prevent pig wheezing?
1) Try to adopt the all-in and all-out system, especially for professional fattening households, and thoroughly disinfect after each slaughter;
2) Improve the environmental conditions of piggery and reduce the stress of pigs as much as possible;
3) Pay attention to the weather changes, especially the thief wind attacks in autumn and winter;
4) Vaccine immunization is still necessary. At present, there are many vaccines in China, and the effect of inactivated vaccine is getting worse and worse. We can consider using an attenuated vaccine.
