-12 (8) I fought in Changqing Oilfield.
Due to well-known reasons, colleges and universities in China have not enrolled students from 1966 to 1969. 1970, some universities in China began to recruit the first college students of workers, peasants and soldiers. Due to the lack of information about our work in this field, maybe I don't care enough and don't want to go to college.
1972, the state held the first conference on enrollment "National Symposium on Enrollment in Colleges and Universities", summarizing that since colleges and universities resumed recommending enrollment, the recommended students have low educational level, and many of them only have primary school education level, which cannot meet the needs of university education. Under the guidance of Premier Zhou, on April 3, 1973, the State Council approved the Notice of the State Council Science and Education Group on the Enrollment of Colleges and Universities in 1973, which is the so-called "Document No.39". In the document (opinion), in addition to emphasizing the political and physical conditions of the recommended object, it is also proposed to "pay attention to the educational level, conduct cultural inspections, and understand the situation of the recommended object in mastering basic knowledge and analyzing and solving problems." The contents and methods of the examination, all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions can be tested according to the different requirements of local specific conditions and majors. " Focus on the increase of political, Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemical culture written test, by the city proposition, county (city) presided over.
Therefore, 1973 added "cultural examination" to the enrollment conditions of colleges and universities.
1973 On June 30th, Zhang Tiesheng, a candidate from Liaoning Province, handed in a blank paper in Physical Chemistry of the College Entrance Examination, and wrote a letter defending himself on the back of the paper. This answer sheet is like a blockbuster. Newspapers, magazines, radio and other media have made a lot of reports and discussions on this issue, which has also aroused widespread concern of the people throughout the country.
At that time, the main ways of transmitting information were newspapers and radio (wireless and wired). We learned the information about this enrollment from newspapers and radio, and the unit also organized us to study documents to discuss and criticize "countering the right-wing restoration forces" and "countering the revisionist resurgence". This made me know more about college enrollment and aroused my desire to go to college.
Our field team has 4-5 months to rest and study in the station every year, especially in winter, so there is plenty of time without getting up early every day. In those days, we didn't have a TV set or even a radio, so we could only read newspapers and novels.
1September, 1973, what excited me most was my colleague from the aerial survey team, my junior high school classmate Wang Haifeng, who was admitted to the Geology Department of Northwest University. He is one level above me and works with me at the same time. He went to Longdong to meet the 40 1 survey team and was transferred to the newly formed aerial survey team. Because we are scattered in different areas after work, how he was selected was not mentioned in the team, and even we were not informed to sign up. I don't know. By the time we got home from work, he had gone to college, and no one else knew how he got in. I think he may have signed up for the exam himself and been admitted.
It's so exciting. I also want to work hard to get into college. I can't let myself work in a foreign country far away from home, away from the city and without a fixed place for life. If you want to study, you have no books. Xinhua Bookstore, a textbook for junior high school and senior high school, doesn't sell it, and there are no exam outlines, review materials and test sets. You can only find textbooks for junior high school and senior high school at that time.
1974 After returning to Wuzhong during the Spring Festival home leave, Mr. Wuzhong found some Chinese, math and chemistry textbooks for junior and senior high schools and brought them back to the unit to learn first.
1April, 974, I took a group to the southeast of Huachi County, more than 20 kilometers away from Huachi County and more than 30 kilometers away from Qingyang County. At that time, we lived in a small village in a ditch. There are only two families in this village, and it is about 10 miles from the ditch mouth of Qinghua Highway to this village. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of this village. We live in a cave in the village. There is nothing to play here. We paint in the wild every day, leaving early and returning late. In the evening, we just read books and study by ourselves. There is no electricity here. We light a steam lamp at night and our noses are black every morning.
By the end of June, I heard on the radio that the university had started enrolling students, but the team didn't inform us to register. I'm in a hurry. I can't wait in this ravine and want to go out and have a look. After arranging other people's work, I will go to the fifth brigade of the geological prospecting headquarters in cheung tsing bridge, Ning County, and see if I can report to the university. I got out of the ditch early in the morning. There is no other means of transportation here. I can only walk for more than an hour and arrive at Qinghua Highway in Qingyang County to wait for the bus. I waited until it was getting dark in the morning and didn't get on the bus. It was a little hot in April, and I was thirsty and hungry by the roadside. Many trucks passing by Changqing Oilfield couldn't stop me, so I had to go back to the ditch. Get up before dawn the next day, walk to the side of the road early and wait for the bus to Qingyang. After arriving in Qingyang, there are no tickets left for the bus to cheung tsing bridge.
I can't stay in Qingyang any longer, thinking that trucks in Changqing Oilfield have to register and check at the south gate of the county if they want to leave Qingyang city, so I will go there to see if I can find a car to take me. I asked a lot of cars, but they didn't want to take me. I'm in a hurry. Later, I stayed at the checkpoint and listened carefully to where they said I was going. In the past, Changqing Oilfield Transportation Office had a base in Liquan County, Shaanxi Province. I didn't tell the driver when I heard a car heading for Xi 'an. I climbed into the car from the back of the truck when the driver was not looking, because the driver didn't notice that I had got on the bus. I waited for the bus many kilometers away from Qingyang before the driver found me.
Qingyang County is about150km away from cheung tsing bridge. In the afternoon, I arrived at the team site of the fifth brigade. I found the team leader Lu Zongqian and told me that I wanted to enroll in the university. He told me that our fifth brigade has only one enrollment quota, and Zhang Ganmin, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the brigade, has reported it to the Personnel Section of the headquarters. At that time, our fifth brigade had 10 wild team, as well as maintenance stations and institutions. The battalion chief used to do surveying and mapping, and he visited our 40 1 and aerial survey team, which touched me to some extent. He told me to go back to the team and do a good job, and I will consider you next year. I know this is his comfort. Who can make it clear next year?
I think there is no hope. It's dark. I can't go back without a car. There are no friends or acquaintances here. Fortunately, the brigade has a simple hostel and canteen. I stayed for one night. The next morning, I went to Xifeng Town by bus. 40 1 the investigation team has moved from Yima town to Xifeng town and also lives in the city center.
I originally planned to stay in 40 1 survey team for two days and then go back to Huachi site. We stayed at 40 1 team for one night and had dinner together at noon the next day. Several of our fellow villagers who worked together went to the biggest grocery store in Xifeng Street to buy food. This shop is located at the busiest intersection in the city center. All passing cars must stop here to buy some food. We walked around the store, and Guo, the personnel officer of our fifth brigade, also walked into the store. He was very surprised when he saw me. He told me that he drove to Hang Hang specially. In the car, they told me that Zhang Ganmin (1973), secretary of the Youth League Committee of the brigade, recommended him last year, and he could not go because he failed the physical examination (possibly for other reasons). Because I am in the office, I signed up again this year, which was recommended by the brigade. However, the director in charge of enrollment in the personnel department of geological prospecting headquarters found him and called him to tell him that he didn't attend last year and signed up again this year. If he can't do it, it will waste the number of five battalions. The people in the field team know how you work in the office and suggest changing people. Because I just arrived at the battalion chief, and the time for the headquarters selection exam is coming, the brigade decided to let me take the geological survey headquarters selection exam. In those days, we could only communicate by telephone, which was extremely inconvenient, and the time for selecting exams could not be delayed, so the Fifth Brigade decided to send a car from the office to find me.
We drove to the station of Qingyang Jiadianzi aerial survey team, filled out the recommendation form, went through the formalities of the team, and returned to Changqing Bridge overnight to go through the formalities of the brigade. The next morning, we sent me to the geological survey headquarters in Jingchuan County, Gansu Province.
There are more than 50 field teams in our geological prospecting headquarters, plus more than 5,000 employees from machinery repair stations, survey stations, logistics, government agencies and other units, and 12 people were recommended, but there are only five places to go to university, and the competition is quite fierce. The next day, I took Chinese, politics and mathematics, physics and chemistry, and I felt good. The results are used for reference. On the third day, I went to Jingchuan County People's Hospital for physical examination. On the fourth day, I announced the result. I was lucky to be chosen. Of the five people we selected, three are already party member. I used to talk about politics, but I'm not party member. The five of us are going to study three majors in three universities. Lanzhou University majoring in atomic physics 1, party member East China Petroleum Institute (Dongying) majoring in geophysical exploration 1, Zhejiang University majoring in computer science 3. I don't meet the requirements of the first two majors, so I have to study computer. The three of us went to Zhejiang University for computer science. I am a surveyor and one is a driller. On the fifth day, Shi Hua, director of the personnel department of the geological prospecting headquarters, and I went through all the formalities at the personnel department of the Changqing Oilfield Battle Command in Qingyang County. Someone else's admission notice was sent by post. I got the admission notice from the Personnel Department of Changqing Oilfield Combat Command to Zhejiang University directly.
I walked out of the ravine in Huachi, and it only took me eight days to get the admission notice from Zhejiang University. Speaking of this process, many people may say that this is a fable and I made up the story, but it did happen to me. These eight days have been blessed by God. Perhaps I touched God and luck has come to me. At that time, because of their parents' status, relatives and friends recommended going to college and invited guests to give gifts through the back door. But I didn't give a penny and didn't invite me to dinner. It doesn't matter at all. With the goal of "I want to go to college", I successfully embarked on the road to college. This road has changed the trajectory of my life and changed my life. I want to thank my leaders and colleagues for their help.
I don't know if this is fate or my luck. I am 22 years old and have worked for 5 years. Recalling the courage of not being afraid of difficulties when I was young, thinking of those people and things, my heart is surging, the years are hard, and I am filled with emotion.
A gentleman hides his weapon in his body and waits for the opportunity. It's now or never. Opportunities are reserved for those who are prepared, have goals in mind and work hard. Nothing is impossible.
