What is the connection between biology and traditional Chinese medicine?

—— Professor Tan Shifa from Shaanxi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The great progress of biology and western medicine based on biological model, the latest discovery of modern frontier science, the information source of life and the realization of life unity, and the causal relationship between physical phenomena and chemical phenomena of organisms are also very interesting.

In recent years, some western scholars put forward the "biological photon theory" and made many beneficial explorations in medical practice. Although these scholars frankly admit that their speeches have not been accepted by mainstream western science at present, their courage to break through traditional understanding and explore boldly is commendable; Their research results are undoubtedly the catalyst for establishing a new medical model and should be paid attention to. This paper aims to introduce some progress in the theory and practice of biophoton, and to explore the compatibility and mechanism between this theory and the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.

Some discoveries of biophoton theory, biophoton phenomenon and biophoton properties

Photons and biological photons

At the beginning of this century, scientists who study light phenomena began to challenge the traditional understanding of matter. As a result of this study, a new model has emerged-matter is composed of atoms, and atoms are composed of nuclei and electrons revolving around the nuclei. This microsatellite system with atomic structure is maintained by electromagnetic force. If the electromagnetic force disappears, the matter we usually understand will also disappear [1].

Shortly after this "planet" model appeared, some internationally renowned physicists studied it, such as Planck, Bohr, De Broglie, Schrodinger, Pauli, Heisenberg, Dirac and so on. , let us come into contact with a very strange and unimaginable subatomic world. The atomic unit of matter is very difficult to understand and has duality. Depending on how you look at it, sometimes it appears in the form of particles, and sometimes it appears in the form of waves. This duality can also be expressed as particles or electromagnetic waves. More recently, physicist David Bohm suggested that matter, regardless of its mass, is essentially composed of highly condensed light, and its motion speed is lower than the speed of light, so it presents a solid state [1].

Einstein called the smallest unit of measurement of light "quantum", which is what we call photons at present. The dispersion of all photons is electromagnetic in nature [1].

194 1 Nobel Prize winner Szent—Gorgyi noticed that biological science is not as complete as mechanists claimed. "It seems that some facts of life have been lost. Without them, it is impossible to really understand any life." Frohlich wrote in his essay: "Can biology adapt to laws other than physics?" Rosen, on the other hand, argues that it is not physics that dominates biology as a deductive tool, but biology that forces physics to change itself, which may eventually go beyond the current understanding [2].

Adey proposed that the signal flow representing cell communication is characterized by physical changes rather than chemical changes [2].

In his experimental research, F.A.popp described a phenomenon called ultra-weak photon diffusion from living tissues, and thought that normal cells diffused a stable photon flow, that is, biological photons. It is assumed that biophoton is the carrier of information and the source of physical regulation in life, rather than the result of physical activities as the mainstream school thinks. When the cell is no longer in equilibrium, the biological photon dispersion will increase. It can be inferred that any imbalance of intracellular environmental balance can lead to the change of balanced information flow (light) in the body. As you can imagine when you throw a stone into a calm pool, the change of photon diffusion in one cell will eventually lead to the disorder of photon diffusion in adjacent cells. This shift of light deviating from harmonious oscillation will eventually lead to the breaking of harmony and form a morbid state [1][2].

A.S.pressman, 1968 reviewed hundreds of experiments that had been carried out at that time in his book Electromagnetic Field and Life, and came to the conclusion that electromagnetic field can be used by human body in three forms. A. Human body can obtain information about the environment by using electromagnetic energy; B, it can be used by tissues and regulated in vivo; C, it may be used for communication between bodies. Scientists have explored the above three fields, and have done a lot of work on how organisms from bacteria to bees to pigeons use geomagnetic fields to orient themselves. Adey emphasized the importance of electromagnetic field in cell-to-cell communication, and described the cell electromagnetic signal as a "whisper" between cells. F.A.Poppp interprets biological photons and electromagnetic waves scattered by organisms as regulatory signals from cell differentiation and growth regulation to enzyme activity and immune response. According to his research on the population of white mosquitoes, German scientist Gunther Becher assumed that there was a non-chemical information system in which white mosquitoes could perceive other biological fields. Becher found that a very weak current can regulate cell DNA and stimulate the so-called dedifferentiation. Recently, Reba Goodman Ann Shirley-Headerson found that a very weak low-frequency field can produce protein by changing the DNA of cells, thus affecting cells at the DNA level.

Electromagnetic energy can be divided into two types (ionization and ionization) according to its effect on objects. Particle field has high photon energy, which may knock electrons out of atoms and form electric ions. The field with lower energy is called non-particle field, and its main function is to heat the object [3].

Adey believes that the surface of cell membrane is the key part of weak field interaction, and electromagnetic energy has an influence on the signals sent by cell membrane receptors to the inside of cells, even if these fields are very weak. Moreover, these effects will be amplified by highly harmonious biomolecular processes, which can only be understood by nonlinear electromagnetic and non-equilibrium physical models. He also believes that not only the weak non-thermal field can cause biological effects, but also biophoton is one of the most remarkable new scientific frontiers in this century [3].

Some experimental basis of biological photon phenomenon

M.van Benschpten observed that the patient may forget to hold the electrode, but the experiment can still be carried out. In this regard, his initial explanation is that the patient's biological field can be expanded from the body surface to a range sufficient to obtain the information of the drug to be tested. With the development of optical quantum diagnosis, he made another hypothesis: the information transmission in drug experiments is not through electricity, but through biological photons. To test this hypothesis, Benschoten installed a plexiglass tube 12 inch long, with two open ends and a groove for installing color filter plates. It was found that placing the copper tube electrode in the plexiglass tube and aiming at the distance of 12- 18 inch always produced accurate drug test results. When placing color filters to determine whether the discrete wavelength of photons is related to the test results, it is found that only indigo filter blocks the test, and other color filters have no effect. So he came to the conclusion that this field is by no means electric, because the color filter used in the experiment is made of several layers of plastic, which should be able to block any information transmission with electricity as the carrier [4].

In order to prove that biophoton is a tool for cell-to-cell communication, Pope did the following experiments: in two sealed timely glass bottles, living cell culture dishes were placed respectively. Then the virus is added to a glass bottle to infect cells, and then the two bottles are contacted, and the cells in the other bottle are also infected. However, when the same experiment was repeated in a non-timely glass bottle, the virus could not spread to the second bottle. We know that timely glass can transmit ultraviolet light, but ordinary glass can't, so Pope concludes that ultraviolet light can transmit biological photon pulses of viruses [1].

Omura passed the 0-loop test to study whether the electromagnetic field information of the test object placed in the patient's visual range can enter the patient's eyes through light. During the experiment, a piece of pure Streptococcus A slide was placed in front of the patient and kept a certain distance. The results showed the following phenomena: a. When patients with streptococcal infection looked at the slide, the 0-loop test was weakly positive; On the contrary, under the same other conditions, if the patient closes his eyes, or does not close his eyes, but he can't see the glass because of the obstacles placed in front of him, there will be no weak reaction in the 0-ring test; B, when a patient with non-streptococcus infection holds an a- streptococcus slide and looks at the slide of the same test substance placed at the same distance as above, the same 0-loop test reaction will be displayed [5]. This experiment not only shows the role of light in information transmission, but also reflects that substances with the same three-dimensional characteristics and the same molecular structure disperse electromagnetic radiation at the same frequency and produce * * * vibration.

Some Related Properties of Biological Photons

(1), DNA is the medium for information transmission and storage of biomolecules.

After a lot of experiments, M.M.van Benschpten found that putting a glass bottle containing DNA D30 on the examiner's wrist can effectively block the interference of the examiner's information on the inspected information. If the DNA D30 sample is placed in the patient's hand, it can block all biological photon vibration tests and make the 0-ring test no longer respond. Popp believes that the transmission and storage of biological photon information is based on DNA, and Benschoten's experimental structure obviously supports Popp's conclusion [2][4].

(2) Oxygen energy of biological photon dispersion

In the experiment, M.M.van Benschpten asked the patient to pause for a few seconds, at which time the biophoton reaction disappeared, indicating the oxygen origin nature of biophoton diffusion. He hypothesized that temporary hypoxia can reduce mitochondrial energy to a level that can significantly reduce photon diffusion and make it below the threshold. At the same time, Benschoten also created an energy equivalent state in another group of experiments to block the energy of lung meridian [4][6].

(3) Blood is the best channel for biological photon information transmission in the body.

According to the research of Bjorn Nordenstrom, MD, blood is the best channel for electromagnetic information transmission generated by visceral metabolism, and the resistance of any other anatomical structure in the body to current is greater than 200% of that of blood. Benschoten found that the biological photons scattered by PC-6 (Neiguan) point are related to all the twelve meridians and complex biological photon fields, and are related to nerve media, amino acids, hormones and enzymes [4][6]. Considering that Neiguan point is a place where blood vessels converge, close to three arteries, it is easy to vibrate with the information contained in the whole body blood, so it will not be difficult to understand.

(4) Biological photon dispersion is ultraviolet modulated infrared radiation.

1992, the German Poul Eckhoff proposed a biological photon measurement method based on infrared spectrum. Because recent research shows that cancer cells can be identified by infrared spectrum, biological photon testing method can be used to detect malignant tissues. In order to test this hypothesis, an infrared filter is used in the experiment, and it is found that the biological photon experiment can be carried out normally without interference, while the misappropriated filter actually eliminates visible light. More interestingly, the ultraviolet filter for photography can block all biological photon experiments, although this filter can let infrared and visible light pass through. The conclusion is that biological photon dispersion is ultraviolet modulated infrared radiation.

Application of Biophoton Theory in Clinical Medicine

Determination of vector balance of yin and yang

On the basis of Omura's "Double Finger Zero Ring Test", M.M.van Benschpten established a method called "Yin-Yang Vector Balance Test", which was used in many aspects of clinical medicine such as disease diagnosis, drug test and treatment, and achieved some remarkable results. The method is not only used for treating lymphopathy, hypercholesterolemia, chronic fatigue, breast diseases, ovarian hormone disorder, viral and bacterial infections, cancer, harm of dairy products, dental mercury poisoning, various autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, diabetes, atherosclerosis, antiphospholipid thrombosis, hyperthyroidism, silicone breast implant disease, alopecia, psychosis, etc. In addition, through the high sensitivity and simplicity of this method, a lot of fruitful work has been done in the diagnosis and prevention of the early subclinical state of the disease [4]

In addition, some aspects of Chinese medicine theory, such as the corresponding relationship between meridian points and internal organs, the specificity of biological photon diffusion at different points, and the nature of Qigong energy, were studied by using the measurement of biological photon diffusion [4] [8] [9] [10] [1].

Esophageal color needle. ect [ 1]

From 65438 to 0987, Peter Mandel, a German acupuncturist on the timeliness of natural therapy, began to conceive a holistic therapy model that could accommodate all therapies on the basis of energy dispersion analysis system, acupuncture-pulse therapy, induction therapy and color sound therapy. Considering that this law should be a combination of profound wisdom in life and energetic principles in the process of life, a new term-wisdom is created. Mandel's view of Austrian medicine is the synthesis of the main principles of ancient esoteric religion, modern energy science thought and the foundation of traditional Chinese medicine.

ECT therapy is to introduce information into the body through acupoints and meridians with different colors of light frequency, so as to rebuild the internal environment balance. The decision to use acupuncture system and its skin acupoints and meridians as channels for introducing light into energy anatomy is supported by the following studies: (1) Novosibirk Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Russia and researchers have proved that meridians can be used as channels for light; (2) ORM Bergold found that human photon receptors are not limited to retina logically, but are quite extensive and can be found in almost all tissues.

Because acupoints respond to various stimuli (acupuncture, heat, cold, pressure, etc.). Mandel concluded that acupoints should also respond to light stimulation. Due to the particularity of the corresponding organs, body structure and function of acupoints, the use of acupoints provides a more effective way for light to enter the human environment than previous phototherapy. After a lot of experiments, Mandel came to the conclusion. Specific acupoints are really related to specific light colors. Moreover, all acupoints only correspond to one of three pairs of complementary colors (red/green, orange/blue, yellow/purple). The formation of acupoint energy complementary balance therapy marks the real birth of electroshock therapy.

Light waves enter through skin receptors, which respond to light and color (the inherent vibration components of light). According to Popp, biophotons allow faster pulse communication than electrical pulses transmitted along neural channels. Using biological photons, the pulse is not transmitted through nerves, but through the atomic structure of cells to the smallest part of the body. According to the principle of * * * vibration, the smallest vibration will stimulate the greatest effect. The color needle can transmit information to the body through the disordered area, and help the dysfunctional functional system recover with the help of the inherent vibration force.

ECT is a combination of Mandel-based energy dispersion analysis system and Kirlian photography. Kirlian photography carefully tracks the subtle changes of energy state before and after treatment. The special purpose of phototherapy is to correct the energy imbalance shown by Kierlian photography. According to Mandel's treatment model, in order to explore the deep-seated causes of diseases, ECT specially adjusts the interaction between body, consciousness and spirit. In addition to relieving physical symptoms, this therapy also aims to expand self-awareness, gently "untie" and eliminate any trauma, emotional trauma and negative beliefs, which remain in the subtle energy system, perpetuating imbalance and morbidity.

Compatibility between Biophoton Theory and TCM Theory

Biophoton theory is the contractual support and development of the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine.

The holistic concept of traditional Chinese medicine shows the unity of part and whole, spirit and body, life and environment. This profound philosophical understanding has always been the guiding principle of etiology, pathology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of traditional Chinese medicine. Although western medicine is aware of its own limitations and has begun to advocate the transformation of medical model in recent years, its deep-rooted mechanism shackles still firmly bind medical practice.

/kloc-in the 7th century, when Descartes put forward the model of "man is like a machine", the concept of the separation of soul and flesh came into being, which marked a profound and fundamental separation between philosophy and medical tradition. Because autopsy and traumatic examination are allowed, it is no longer possible to damage the soul itself, which paves the way for modern medicine. But as Dr. Oaul pearsall said in his article "Super Immunity", "Unfortunately, we forgot to reinstall them" [12].

Many leading scientists think that the dominant model of western biology is also useful, but it is also limited, so they try to explore a new way to understand the basic process of defining the state of life. These scientists try to answer questions about biological wholeness, communication, organization and wholeness formation. In the new biological framework being established by leading scientists, the whole is indeed greater than the sum of parts, and it is believed that electromagnetic energy plays a leading role in the process of realizing this whole communication [2].

According to the biophoton theory, the subclinical state may indicate the imbalance of the body's regulation and unification function, and the biochemical structure and function changes that can cause symptoms are not the "cause" of the disease, but the reflection of the overall disharmony. Many leading scientists believe that the destruction of cell communication is an important part of cancer process, so they emphasize the role of electromagnetic energy as a signal [2]. Here, we have found the consistent position of the traditional Chinese medicine model and the new biological wave: balance and harmony are health, and imbalance and disharmony are pathological.

In the new biological concepts of many top scientists, the unity of spirit and flesh is also an extremely concerned field. According to Mandel, disease and pain are pathological energy, which prevents individuals from showing their potential or sending a signal that it is difficult to concentrate on their own life path, which is often caused by past trauma in the energy system. Therefore, to achieve a lasting cure, it is necessary not only to eliminate the physical symptoms, but also to bring the patient back to the spiritual experience that may touch "Who am I and why am I here". Therefore, it is considered that the color needle provides an accurate system that uses light to promote the exchange of information between consciousness, unconsciousness and superconsciousness, clear the energy accumulation of trauma, and support individual evolution [1]. Here, we can see how the understanding of the relationship between body and mind by the advocates of biophoton theory is similar to that of traditional Chinese medicine.

The external gas released by Qigong master was studied by using biophotometry technology, which proved that the external gas dispersion has magnetic characteristics and is the dispersion of biophotons. Japanese Dr. Ben Shan Hao's research shows that computer-controlled AMI equipment measures the enhancement of energy dispersion when releasing the outside air. In other scholars' experiments, if the 12X6X 1/8-inch aluminum plate is placed on the CV-20 (Baihui) and K- 1 (Yongquan) points of Qigong master, the display is shielded, and there is no biological photon dispersion. At the same time, the experiment also found the relationship between sunlight and photon dispersion. Therefore, it is considered that Qigong energy comes from the environmental energy of heaven and earth [10]. This not only conforms to the classical qigong theory, but also embodies the unity of man and environment.

Biophoton theory is the confirmation and deepening of the concept of "qi" in traditional Chinese medicine.

Traditional medicine in China often emphasizes the function of "Qi". It can be said that if the concept of "Qi" in TCM theory is removed, the core will be removed, that is, the philosophy of TCM will be dispersed. However, what is qi has always been the focus of debate, even the handle of skeptics' attacks. In this regard, biophoton theory gives some concrete answers.

Traditional Chinese medicine not only recognizes the existence of qi, but also divides qi into yin and yang, which complement each other and maintain human health and harmony. Mandel compared the yin and yang of qi to the positive and negative poles of electric system and the phenomenon of electromagnetic wave motion. Because light is electromagnetic in nature, and the phenomenon of light involves the perpetual oscillation of electromagnetic waves, the given limit of this oscillation can be described as similar to the yin and yang parameters in the traditional Chinese medicine model. Therefore, Qi can be compared to a special concrete expression used by frontier scientists to describe light phenomena [1].

W. Ross Adey, an outstanding researcher in bioelectromagnetism (BEM), claims that BEM is not a chemical phenomenon, but a physical phenomenon that forms the characteristics of signal and energy transfer in biomolecular systems. The emphasis on the transformation of the essence of body control and regulation from chemistry to physics directly points to oriental medicine, acupuncture and many treatment systems widely known as energy medicine. French immunologist Jacques Benveniste is studying diluted homeopathic preparations. According to the conventional biomedical theory, statistically speaking, these preparations have no active substances and should not have biological activity. Therefore, Benveniste assumes that the in vitro effect of biological activity transmission observed in the laboratory can only be explained by electromagnetic field [3].

As the basic framework of TCM theory, "Qi" has no direct corresponding concept in western science. Although "qi" is often translated as "energy", biology based on biochemistry is still difficult to correspond. Frohlish and Delgiadice describe a new biological theory in their works, which assumes that this important energy is very similar to Manfred Porkert's translation of "Qi" into configuration energy [3].

Some people regard innate qi as the projection of genetic information in the meridian system, which is very similar to Popper's biological photon model. According to Popp's biological photon model, coherent electromagnetic waves are considered as the projection of DNA. It is pointed out that biological photons are the source of physical regulation, which may involve many aspects such as growth process, and perhaps biological photons represent the holographic projection of a certain type of morphogenetic field. Genes may play the role of transmission and receptor, and be transmitted to the information of biological field. Therefore, there seems to be a wide similarity between biological photons, molecular genesis, morphogenetic fields and meridians/innate qi [2].

In addition, the extensive study of biophoton theory in clinical application also provides experimental basis and many inspirations for Chinese medicine to attach importance to individualized treatment mode and compound theory [3][6][8][ 13].

Other possible mechanisms of biological photons

Entrainment exists in the mechanism of biological photon action.

Substances with the same three-dimensional characteristics and the same molecular structure disperse electromagnetic radiation at the same frequency, resulting in * * * vibration, which is an accepted explanation of the biological photon action mechanism. Then, for pathological tissues that have acted on their original biological characteristics and molecular structure, so that they can no longer disperse electromagnetic radiation at their original frequencies, how can they restore their natural frequencies and thus their functions? The author thinks that the existence of entrainment in photon vibration can not be ignored.

Joshua Leeds wrote in the article "Rhythm, Vibration and Entrainment": When we study the influence of external rhythm on the nervous system, we will encounter a phenomenon that has long been known but rarely discussed. Our body has a self-discipline mechanism, which often makes people cooperate with other rhythms, imitate or converge to a greater pulsating rhythm than themselves. This is the entrainment phenomenon. Entrainment is an aspect of * * * vibration, but it is a major distortion of * * * vibration. As Goldman said, "Because of the entrainment phenomenon, you can change the natural oscillation form of one object and replace it with a different oscillation form of another object", and think that entrainment is an economical means of energy conservation. Jonalea Hoffman also believes that entrainment means that all living things are constantly striving to maintain harmony with each other [14]. Acoustics has entrainment, and optics should also have entrainment, both of which have obvious rhythm. In the mechanism of biological photon action, paying attention to the existence of entrainment phenomenon may make us more open to the closed understanding of the inherent oscillation rhythm of organisms, and have a deeper understanding of the interaction between the outside world and the body, the mechanism of disease and rehabilitation.

Hypothalamus-autonomic nervous system may be involved in the mechanism of biophoton action.

Joshua Leeds pointed out that 10 pairs of cranial nerves not only reach the ears, but also branch to the internal organs of the chest and abdomen. It is precisely because of this distribution of vagus nerve that any sound stimulation that can cause the eardrum to vibrate will also cause the vibration of many internal organs [14]. According to the research of German anatomist Helmut Becher, the retinal-hypothalamic bundle originated from the retinal multipolar plant cells between visual cells [10]. Because the hypothalamus can regulate the autonomic nervous system, and autonomic nerves are widely distributed in human viscera. From this, it can be inferred that once the photochromic stimulus reaches the retina, it can spread to the hypothalamus, and it will also have a corresponding extensive effect on all internal organs.

Biophoton theory should be a useful tool for TCM research, TCM modernization, integration and communication of Chinese and Western medicine. Although we can't hope to explain all the problems of Chinese medicine, we don't have to face the embarrassment of trying to incorporate Chinese medicine into the biochemical model of western medicine to find its counterpart. After all, it is a new school. We have been confined to the biomedical model for a long time, and we are often complacent because of the unprecedented achievements of western medicine in recent years, so we can't help but reject the views that don't conform to the mainstream understanding, so that we stop thinking when we leave this model. However, in order to meet the needs of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine and future integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, we must use our rich imagination to find a way out from the latest progress of contemporary frontier science. As we know, Chinese medicine has a strong color of energy medicine in many aspects, so biophoton theory should be a suitable choice. As Mantak chia said, the in-depth study of life information and energy characteristics by leading scientists may promote the combination of eastern and western medicine. In this regard, we sow in the same land, and completely different medicine in 2 1 century will be part of the harvest.
