Is the gas released by wax melting toxic?
The main components of paraffin wax are alkanes, and a small amount of aromatic hydrocarbons with more than four rings. Aromatic hydrocarbons with more than four rings contain carcinogens. When paraffin wax is in molten state, it will volatilize with paraffin oil smoke and pollute indoor air. Therefore, ventilation and detoxification facilities must be set up to prevent paraffin oil smoke from damaging workers' health. Operators should wear masks and do personal protection during operation.
