3. Light resistance and heat resistance are average. In sunlight and atmosphere, cotton cloth will slowly oxidize and reduce its strength. Long-term high temperature will damage cotton fabric, but it can withstand short-term high temperature treatment in the temperature range of 125~ 150℃.

4. Microorganisms have destructive effects on cotton fabrics. It is not mildewproof.

Uses of mulberry silk:

1. Mulberry silk is not only the most important raw material for silk fabrics, but also can be used to make artificial blood vessels. Silk, human keratin and collagen are protein, and their structures are very similar, so it has excellent biocompatibility.

2. Mulberry silk is the best raw material for making silk quilt. The silk quilt made of mulberry silk is not only soft and close-fitting, warm and breathable, but also green and healthy. Moreover, the hygroscopicity of silk is 1.5 times that of pure cotton and 1.8 times that of wool, which can keep the balance of skin moisture and has a good curative effect on the elderly with dry skin.

3. Mulberry silk can be developed into many high-tech by-products. After degumming, dissolving and dialysis purification, mulberry silk can be made into pure silk fibroin solution, which is placed in a plastic mold, dried and made into a membrane, and finally sterilized by Co60 radiation to form a "silk fibroin membrane". This kind of membrane is specially used to cover burn wounds and is helpful for wound healing. Also called "artificial skin".
