In fact, if you think about how the Great Wall Scenic Area came about, you will understand that the Great Wall was never built under water, but on the mountain. However, due to the construction of reservoirs after the founding of the People's Republic of China, a part of the Great Wall was submerged under water. According to the scenic spot, three sections of the Great Wall are submerged under water. After my field research, I will list them one by one. The first and second sections are both on the left side of the main scenic spot by boat. Only the third part is the most secret. When I visited the scenic spots, I never found the entrance to the third section of the Great Wall. It was not until I left the scenic spot that I found the third entrance of the Great Wall at the dam of the reservoir, which is the most obvious and easily overlooked entrance landscape of the Great Wall.

Later, I went to the Ming Dynasty Chestnut Garden. It is said that this chestnut tree was planted by the officers and men guarding the border in the Ming Dynasty. The oldest chestnut tree is over 800 years old. Because of the high starch content of chestnut, these planted chestnut trees can also be supplemented in wartime.

On the way back, I chose to cross the gate of the scenic spot from the Great Wall (note: the entrance and exit of the scenic spot are in one place, with only one gate). In fact, the Great Wall in the scenic spot is divided into two sections. A section starts from the chestnut garden in the Ming Dynasty, passes through the artificial plank road where the first Great Wall enters the water, and then walks for a while, and then you can reach the second Great Wall water landscape. However, the second Great Wall water landscape road has not been opened yet, so I didn't choose to take a section of the Great Wall route. Therefore, it is the first section of the Great Wall route from Liyuan to the Second Great Wall in Ming Dynasty. The second section of the Great Wall route is from the second Great Wall to the dam at the entrance of the scenic spot (that is, the third Great Wall enters the water). This route is actually very easy to walk. It takes about 30 minutes to cross the whole section of the Great Wall and return to the scenic exit. This section of the Great Wall is beautiful and easy to walk. Most importantly, through this section of the Great Wall, you can overlook the whole scenery inside the Great Wall and have a panoramic view of all the mountains and waters. Only at the top of the Great Wall can you appreciate its beauty.
