The life of Zhu's characters

Zhu Zeng used the name Zhu Jiming. 19 17 September 12 (July 26th of the lunar calendar) was born in Yixing county, Jiangsu province. From a poor family, grandpa has never made any progress in his studies. He taught himself Chinese medicine to treat relatives and friends and was poor all his life. My father dropped out of school at a young age, studied Chinese medicine with his grandfather and worked as an intern in a hospital in Shanghai for half a year. After that, he finally became a famous doctor in his hometown through hard self-study. His father is gentle in nature and a faithful successor to his grandfather's thoughts. In his later years, he claimed to be "penniless" and "medical craftsman". Zhu was diligent and eager to learn, determined to make progress, and studied to save the country. 193 1 I finished junior high school in my hometown.

1939 After graduation, Zhu moved to Kunming with Shanghai Medical College and set up a "Health Experimental Zone" in Qujing County, not far from Kunming, as a place for students to practice. At the same time, under the leadership of Professor Huang Zifang, the Chinese Health Journal was founded. He devoted himself to rural health and magazine editing with great enthusiasm. 1940 He contacted a hospital for sick soldiers. About 100 or 200 able-bodied men arrested in the name of anti-Japanese fell ill because of hunger and abuse. They were lying on the straw in a temple hall, dressed in rags and covered with lice, or skinny or swollen and festering, and several naked bodies were lying in the patio and toilet. He and his colleagues collected hundreds of blankets for sick soldiers and sent soybean milk to improve their nutrition, but they soon found that the blankets were taken away by the officers and the soybean milk was taken away by the orderly. Under the factual education, Zhu had a great dislike for the Kuomintang, but he couldn't see any other way out. So I had an idea, it is better to learn a science. At this time, Huang Zifang died of stomach cancer. Through the introduction of his teacher, he entered the central epidemic prevention department chaired by Tang to work on biological products and began to study microbiology until 1945.

195 1 to 1955 served as the chief technician, director of the second research laboratory and chief of verification of the Central Institute of Biological Products. In the meantime, 195 1 ~ 1952 was seconded to take charge of the establishment of the biological products testing institute. Although this went against his original intention of engaging in scientific research, he readily accepted it. During this period, he presided over the formulation of China's first regulations for the manufacture and verification of biological products and held two training courses for biological products personnel. In addition to biological products and microbial immunology, the training class also arranged biochemistry and statistics, which was also a pioneering work at that time. So far, a considerable part of the backbones of various biological products institutes have come from these two training courses.

From 1955 to 1963, Zhu was transferred to Changchun Institute of Biological Products of the Ministry of Health as the deputy director and director of the virus research room. At that time, Changchun Institute was a unit taken over by the Japanese and the Puppet, and the middle-level backbone was mostly young intellectuals recruited from the liberated areas, with high enthusiasm for work, but poor cultural and technical level. By the middle of 1950' s, the institute was obviously behind other biological products institutes, and it was urgent to improve the technical level, change the production appearance and establish the scientific research foundation. This task is more arduous than establishing a verification institute. Zhu felt that despite the difficulties, he still had the responsibility to make progress. Not only the above tasks have been completed, but also the scientific research results are remarkable. His scientific research work, such as the discovery of influenza A 2 virus and γ inhibin, the study of adenovirus pneumonia in children, and the successful development of highly attenuated measles live vaccine, was completed during this period. In his work, he trained a number of cadres in science and technology and production management, and at the same time accumulated valuable experience in leading production and grasping scientific research.

65438-0963 transferred back to Beijing as deputy director of Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. 198 1 ~ 1983 is the director of virology research institute. 1980 was elected member of biology department of China Academy of Sciences. From 65438 to 0984, he served as scientific and technological consultant of Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. 65438-0985 Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Virology, Chairman of Drug Evaluation Committee of Ministry of Health, and Chairman of Sub-Committee of Biological Products. 1987 ~ 1998 served as honorary director of Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine.

From 1968 to 1984, he led the research on influenza virus variation, and successively discovered influenza A virus type 3 and new influenza A virus type 1, and discovered for the first time that there were a large number of temperature-sensitive attenuated strains of influenza A virus in nature. 198 1 ~ 1988 participated in the research of genetic engineering vaccine for mammalian cells of hepatitis B, and 1984 ~ 1993 led the research of multivalent live vaccine with vaccinia virus as the carrier. 1997 was awarded honorary member of American Society for Microbiology.

Since Zhu Yu 1950 returned to China, he has been transferred to several units to hold leadership positions. Although these positions are contrary to his original intention of engaging in scientific research, he feels that he is duty-bound to accept the appointment and devote himself enthusiastically to the work he is responsible for. 1998 65438+1died of bladder cancer in Beijing on October 6th.
