How to find breast problems in daily self-examination?

1 "visual" diagnosis: breast self-examination can be performed before going to bed or taking a bath. First, take off your coat and stand in front of the mirror, and your arms naturally hang down. First, carefully observe whether the shapes and sizes of the two breasts are symmetrical, whether the nipples are on the same horizontal line, whether the nipples are invaginated, and whether they lie on their side. Pay attention to the previous inspection and compare whether there is any change in appearance. Then see if there is any bulge or depression in the breast, and pay special attention to whether there is any "orange peel"-like unsmooth change on the surface of the breast, and whether the nipple overflows or bleeds. If no abnormality is found, raise your arms or put your hands on your hips and repeat the above observation again.

2. "Touch" diagnosis: Take the supine position, put a soft pillow on the back to make the chest stand up, lift the upper arm on the inspection side to the head, and put the palm under the pillow to fully show the breast and facilitate touch. Check the left breast with your right hand and the right breast with your left hand. When touching, straighten the index finger, middle finger and ring finger together, and gently touch them with the pulp and palm of each finger. Don't press them again. You can examine the breast in the order of upper inside, upper outside, lower outside and lower inside, and finally massage the deep tissue under the areola. Touch the breasts on both sides and then touch the armpits on both sides to see if there are swollen lymph nodes. Finally, squeeze the areola with your thumb and forefinger to see if there is any liquid overflowing from the nipple. When touching the breast, don't hold your hands full, so as not to treat normal breast tissue as a breast lump. Normal breasts feel soft and elastic, and there is no lump or induration.

3. Selected time: breast self-examination need not be over-frequency, and women over 30 can do it once a month. It is best to choose a few days after menstruation. Because the breast is influenced by endocrine and changes with menstrual cycle, the breast tissue is thin and easy to check in a few days after menstruation. It is necessary to prevent the examination on different days of the menstrual cycle, so as not to affect the results due to physiological changes of the breast.

4. Cooperate with other examinations: If conditions permit, you can accept an annual mammography examination, and have a breast physical examination with a breast X-ray detector regularly.
