Guiyang Yang Kang Vocational College is the first full-time public undergraduate vocational school in Guizhou Province approved by the Ministry of Education and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It is a directly affiliated institution in charge of Guiyang Municipal People's Government, located in Guanshanhu District, one of the "dual-core and multi-group" in Guiyang City.
Its predecessor was "Guizhou Medical Vocational School" established by 1939. 196 1 was renamed Guiyang Health School and upgraded to Guiyang Nursing Vocational College in 2006. 202 1 Guiyang Vocational College of Nursing merged with Qiushi College of Guizhou Normal University and was transformed into Guiyang Yang Kang Vocational College.

At present, the school has 8 teaching units, offering 2 1 professional undergraduate majors (including 12 four-year undergraduate majors and 9 two-year undergraduate majors) and 22 higher vocational majors, with medical and health majors accounting for 68.42% of the total, forming a professional group with rehabilitation as the leader, pharmacy and rehabilitation engineering as the wings, and health management and medical technology as the support.
There are 624 teachers in the school, including 365 full-time teachers in the department, 259 affiliated hospitals and external teachers. The proportion of full-time teachers with master's degree or above in headquarters is 55.6%, and the proportion of full-time teachers with associate senior professional and technical positions or above is 47.6%.
