If you fully charge your MacBook to 100% and then use up the battery, this is a charging cycle. If you charge your MacBook to 100% when the battery is 50% remaining, it will be counted as a charging cycle when the battery is less than 50%.
All MacBook batteries have the same limited number of charge cycles as other portable devices using lithium-ion batteries. Once the equipment battery exceeds the maximum number of charging cycles, the battery begins to deteriorate, and it is time to consider replacing the battery.
So how do you check the number of battery charging cycles on the Mac?
1. Hold down the Option key on the keyboard and click the Apple logo on the menu bar.
2. Click "System Information" at the top of the menu, and then find the "Power" button in the sidebar.
3. Finally, find "Health Information" in "Battery Status"
4. Here you can see the number of battery cycles of Mac. The following are the maximum battery cycles of various MacBook provided by Apple. You might as well refer to it. After these cycles, you can consider changing the battery.
