April 7th every year is World Health Day, which aims to arouse people all over the world's attention to health and hygiene, improve people's quality and understanding in the field of health, and emphasize the importance of health to labor creation and happy life. In order to enhance primary school students' awareness of prevention and help them understand some health problems in their lives, Class 2065438 1 1 of the Second Clinical College launched a voluntary service activity of "Healthy and Safe Entering the Campus" for Class 4 students of Xintianyuan Primary School on the occasion of World Health Day.
On the afternoon of April 2, 20 15 13:30, our class carefully planned to send 10 students to the new rural primary school on time, which kicked off the activity. The activity is divided into three parts, namely "Health and safety is my master" lecture, how much health knowledge I know, and six episodes of teaching correct hand washing in groups.
In the lecture "Health and safety is my master", we selected several typical daily health and safety knowledge, such as preventing influenza, protecting eyes and teeth, food hygiene and so on, which are easy to understand. From the children's earnest eyes, we read their desire for health knowledge. The prize contest "How much do you know about health" set off the climax of this activity. We designed ten topics according to the last lecture, covering a wide range, including flu prevention, correct brushing, junk food, measures to deal with food poisoning and so on. The children were enthusiastic, spoke enthusiastically and answered questions like a flood. Unconsciously, they input some necessary health and safety knowledge into their minds and internalize it into a knowledge structure. In the final hands-on exercise, we divided the children into nine groups and patiently guided them one by one on the correct hand washing steps.
Through this activity, the children gained the basic knowledge of hygiene and safety, learned the six-step washing method, and reduced the risk of oral illness to some extent. The development of this activity has strengthened the cohesion of our class and brought the medical knowledge we have learned out of campus to contribute to the society.
