Personally, the unprofessional behavior of the organizers mainly includes the following three aspects.
The first unprofessional aspect is that the organizers lack awe of weather changes and uncontrollable nature. No matter the local residents or the records of local weather changes over the years, we can draw a conclusion that the weather in Gansu Marathon is unpredictable and there is the possibility of sudden extreme weather. The organizer didn't give any notice or reminder to the participants at first, then didn't arrange reasonable first aid measures, and finally passed the buck and threw the problem to the Meteorological Bureau. No matter from which link, the organizer has an unshirkable responsibility.

The second unprofessional aspect is that the organizer has not formulated an effective emergency mechanism. From a series of amateur operations after the tragedy, it can be concluded that the organizer did not set up a safe house on the way to the track without judging the severity of the weather, and did not recruit more race staff to deal with various situations of the race, which led to confusion and inefficiency in first aid when problems occurred.

In the third unprofessional aspect, the organizers think too much about the interests of the event and try to attract famous athletes at home and abroad through various laissez-faire entry standards, so as to improve the popularity of the event and finally get higher interests. It can be seen from the interviews with the contestants by various media after the event that the organizers blindly please the athletes and ignore the professionalism needed for the event.
Finally, I hope that after the Gansu Marathon incident, the state can introduce corresponding policies and laws to better improve the event activities and give athletes better protection from all aspects, so as to better improve the level of marathon in our country.
