Standardized patients refer to those normal people or patients who have undergone standardized and systematic training and can accurately express their actual clinical problems. Different from other complete testing methods, SP itself is not an independent testing method, but it is usually a part of many clinical ability evaluation methods.
Extended data:
1968, Professor Barros, an American neurologist, first put forward the concept of standardized patient. 199 1 year, SP was introduced to China and played an important role in clinical skill examination. The job of SP is:
1. Simulate the patient: SP's job is to play the patient according to the script under the condition of simulating real medical treatment. He (she) should not only deeply understand the role, but also imitate the patient's expression, movements and emotions. In the simulated clinic, students who play the role of doctors will interview SP and/or have a physical examination.
2. Interview: In most simulated situations, students will ask about their medical history, just like the first time a doctor sees a doctor. In some cases, students will discuss or give health education to patients on topics such as illness, physical examination or treatment.
3. Physical examination: In some simulated situations, students will have a full or partial physical examination of SP. All examinations are non-invasive, but in some cases, SP may need to put on a hospital gown and have a chest or abdominal examination. If a case includes a physical investigation, SP will be notified in advance before attending the training course.
4. Feedback: In order to make students get the correctness of consultation and/or physical examination and positive feedback.
