Appendicitis is a common and frequently-occurring disease in general surgery, and appendectomy is one of the oldest and most common operations in surgery. At present, there are two operations: open appendectomy and laparoscopic appendectomy.
If appendectomy is performed by laparotomy, postoperative maintenance should focus on restoring physical strength. Appendectomy is a common operation, but it does harm to human body. It can be supplemented by food, but it should not be too greasy. Choose digestible food early after operation, and you can basically eat normally after two weeks. During the recovery period, attention should be paid to maintaining proper physical activity and reducing the possibility of intestinal adhesion.
Laparoscopic appendectomy, the operation itself will be less traumatic, and the same food supplement method will be used, but physical activity can be carried out earlier.
Diet should be light, and the following foods should be eaten less.
1, coffee, strong tea and other chemically stimulating things.
2. mechanically stimulate food, such as fried ribs, garlic, leeks, bean sprouts, etc.
3, easy to produce sour food such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet and sour food, too sweet snacks.
4. Gas-producing foods such as raw onions and onions.
5, cold food, cold drinks
6, salt should not be too much
Second, postoperative care
1 according to different anesthesia methods, choose the appropriate lying position. For example, patients with spinal anesthesia should lie on the pillow for 6 ~ 12 hours to prevent headache caused by cerebrospinal fluid leakage. Patients under continuous epidural anesthesia can lie flat with their pillows low.
Observe vital signs, and measure blood pressure and pulse every hour for three times in a row until it is stable. If the pulse speeds up or blood pressure drops, consider bleeding, observe the wound in time and take necessary measures.
3 12 After simple appendicitis excision, or gangrenous or perforated appendicitis excision, if there is a drainage tube, it should be changed to semi-recumbent position or low position semi-recumbent position after blood pressure is stable, so as to facilitate drainage and prevent inflammatory exudate from flowing into abdominal cavity.
Diet: fasting on the day of operation, liquid on the first day after operation, soft food on the second day, and general food on the third to fourth days under normal circumstances.
3 ~ 5 days after operation, it is forbidden to use laxatives and irritating soapy water enema to avoid increasing intestinal peristalsis, causing the ligation line of appendix stump to fall off or the suture wound to split. If constipation occurs after operation, you can take laxatives orally.
Get up 24 hours after operation to promote the recovery of intestinal peristalsis, prevent intestinal adhesion, promote blood circulation and accelerate wound healing.
