Are there many mixed-race cats? Are there many hybrids?

A lot.

There are many kinds of cats, which enrich the "taste" of the shovel officer, so that the shovel officer can choose a cat that suits his own style to feed.

And we all want to feed cats a long life. After all, cats become our family as long as they are taken home by us, so long-lived cats will certainly be able to accompany us for longer. But what kind of cat will live longer? Just because of the variety?

Aside from other factors such as the cat's birth environment and feeding environment, if you only look at the cat itself, whether it will live long depends mainly on these five points.

Longevity factor 1: mixed-race cats live longer than purebred cats.

Compared with purebred cats, hybrid cats mixed by various cat lineages have a longer life span, because hybrid cats have higher immunity than purebred cats and are not easily influenced by people, so they have a longer life span.

Of course, I'm not saying that hybrid cats must live longer than purebred cats. I'm just talking about the general trend. Individually, purebred cats live longer than hybrid cats. After all, the life span of a cat is also related to illness or not.

Longevity factor 2: the average life span of purebred cats

The average life span of purebred cats is generally 14~ 16 years old, so according to this life span, they are divided into purebred cats with a tendency to live longer and purebred cats that can't reach the average life span.

Pure cats with longevity tendency: Persian cats, short beauties, puppets, etc.

Pure cats that can't reach the average life span: short-legged cats, Norwegian forest cats and Maine cats.

However, as mentioned above, whether cats live long is, in the final analysis, a matter of preference. What I'm talking about here is just a conclusion made without any interference from other external factors. If you are carefully fed with a shovel, the cat will live for a long time.

Longevity factor 3: gender difference

Whether it is a male cat or a female cat, it will have an impact on life expectancy. Generally speaking, however, female cats live longer than male cats, because female cats have one more "X chromosome" than male cats, and this "X chromosome" has the function of preventing aging.

In addition, unsterilized male cats will fight with other male cats in estrus because they rob the female cats of their mating rights, which increases the possibility of male cats being injured. Moreover, it is said that the female cat will make the cells in the body more energetic with the birth of the kitten, so from the cat's own situation, the female cat will live longer than the male cat.
