Magistrate, official name. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, a county magistrate has been the head of a county. Tang called the magistrate to act as the magistrate. In the Song Dynasty, officials were often appointed as county chiefs to manage the politics of a county, which was referred to as "county magistrate" for short. For example, the local garrison is also in charge of the military. In the Yuan Dynasty, the chief magistrate of a county was renamed as County Yin, and in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the county magistrate was the official of a county, which was called "Seven Sesame Officials".
County commandant, who is responsible for public security and catching thieves in a county, is under the county magistrate and the county magistrate (the highest chief executive of a county). Roughly equivalent to today's county public security bureau chief.
Xian Cheng was the name of a local official in ancient China. In the county, the position is generally second only to the county magistrate (or county magistrate). In Han Dynasty, every county had a magistrate, whose main responsibility was the management of documents and warehouses. Although there have been changes in later generations, such as the abolition of the Song Dynasty or the appointment of the master book, this official (one or two) was set up in most dynasties until the end of the Qing Dynasty.
