First of all, Xu Youxin's three criteria for evaluating mental health.
1. Experience standard refers to a person's subjective experience and inner world, mainly including whether he has a good mood and proper self-evaluation.
2. Operating standard refers to observing the process and effect of psychological activities through observation experiments and tests, and its core is efficiency, which mainly includes the efficiency of personal psychological activities and personal social efficiency or social functions, such as the efficiency of work and study, the harmony of interpersonal relationships and so on.
3. Development criteria, focusing on the longitudinal investigation and analysis of individual psychological development, that is, painful time.
Second, the ten standards of Guo Nianfeng's mental health level.
1. Psychological activity intensity.
The intensity of psychological activity refers to the ability to resist mental stimulation. Different people have different responses to the same mental stimulation when they encounter mental shock, which shows that different people have different resistances to mental stimulation, and people with poor resistance often react strongly and tend to leave sequelae. People with strong resistance respond, but they are not strong and will not cause disease. The intensity of this resistance or psychological activity is mainly related to people's cognitive level. When a person has a full and rational understanding of external events, the intensity of stimulation can be relatively weakened. In addition, people's life experience, inherent personality characteristics, environmental conditions at that time and the type of nervous system will also affect this resistance.
2. Tolerance of psychological activities
Chronic and long-term mental stimulation will make people have poor tolerance for pain. After a period of time, under this chronic mental torture, there will be psychological abnormalities, personality changes, listlessness and even serious physical diseases. However, although some people are entangled in this bad stimulus and experience some pain every day, they will not have serious mental problems in the end. Some people even regard constantly overcoming this mental distress as a symbol of the strong and as an indicator to test their own survival value. Some people can even make brilliant achievements in the unbearable adversity of others. We regard it as a long-term experience.
3. Periodic rhythm.
People's psychological activities have their own internal rhythm in form and efficiency. For example, there is a natural fluctuation in people's attention level, not only the state of attention, but also all psychological processes of people are rhythmic. Generally, the efficiency of psychological activities can be used as an indicator to explore the change of this objective law. Some people are not very efficient during the day and very efficient at night, while others are the opposite. If the inherent rhythm of a person's psychological activities is often in a state of disorder, whatever the reason, we can say that his mental health level has declined.
4. Consciousness level
The level of consciousness often regards the quality of attention as an objective indicator. If a person can't concentrate on a job, can't concentrate on thinking, and often gets distracted or makes mistakes at work because of distraction, he should be alert to his mental health problems, because the decrease of attention level will affect the effective level of will activities. The higher the degree of inattention, the lower the level of mental health, and the worse the memory level.
5. suggestive.
People who are susceptible to suggestion are often easily caused by irrelevant factors in the surrounding environment, and the importance of thinking is reduced. Sometimes, their willpower is weak, and their emotions and thinking easily change with the environment, which brings unstable characteristics to their mental activities. Of course, suggestive characteristics exist in everyone, but the level and degree are quite different, and women are more susceptible to suggestibility than men.
6. Rehabilitation ability.
In a person's life, no one will inevitably suffer from mental trauma. After mental trauma, there will be great emotional fluctuations, temporary changes in behavior, and even some physical symptoms. However, due to people's different cognitive abilities and experiences, the time required to recover from the blow will be different and the degree of recovery will be different. This ability to recover from traumatic stimuli is called psychological rehabilitation ability. People with a high degree of rehabilitation recover quickly and will not leave serious marks. Whenever they recall this trauma again, they are relatively calm and their original emotional color is also very dull.
7. Psychological self-control.
Emotional intensity, emotional expression, thinking direction and thinking process are all realized under people's conscious control. The so-called involuntary emotions and thoughts are only relative. They are all random, but the level is not high and it is difficult to detect. The degree of self-control of emotion, thinking and behavior is closely related to people's mental health level. When a person is physically and mentally healthy, his psychological activities will be comfortable, his emotions will be properly expressed, his words will be fluent, his manners will be generous, he will not be too cautious or too casual. In other words, we can judge a person's mental health level from his self-control ability, so the self-control ability of psychological activities can be used as an indicator of mental health.
8. Self-confidence.
When a person faces a certain life event and work task, he should first consider his own coping ability. Some people have two tendencies when making this kind of self-assessment, one is overestimation and the other is underestimation. The former is blind self-confidence, and the latter is blind self-distrust. The consequences caused by this deviation of self-confidence are all bad. The former self-evaluation is too high, which leads to the failure of actual operation and leads to loss or depression; The latter is timid because of underestimating their abilities, and anxious because of fear of failure.
Therefore, whether a person has proper self-confidence is a standard of mental health. Self-confidence is actually the ability of correct self-cognition, which can be gradually improved in life practice. However, if a person has a psychological tendency of lacking self-confidence, is timid about everything and cannot constantly improve his self-confidence in life practice, then we can say that his mental health level is not high.
9. Social interaction.
Full social communication is an important pillar for the emergence and maintenance of human spiritual activities. The deprivation of social communication will inevitably lead to mental breakdown and various abnormal psychology, so whether a person can communicate with others normally will mark a person's mental health level.
When a person cuts off contact with relatives, friends and other members of society for no reason, or becomes very indifferent, it constitutes a symptom of mental disorder, which is called poor contact. If you are overly social, you can hit it off with anyone you don't know, or you may be manic. In real life, it is common to feel depressed. More commonly, people are depressed and socially blocked.
10. Environmental adaptability.
In a sense, psychology is a tool to adapt to the environment. For the preservation of individuals and the continuation of races, for the development and perfection of self, people must adapt to the environment, because a person cannot live without his own living environment from birth to death, and the environmental conditions are constantly changing. Sometimes it changes a lot, so we need to take active or passive measures to achieve a new balance between ourselves and the environment. This process is called adaptation. The connotation of active adaptation is to actively change the environment, and the connotation of passive adaptation is to avoid the influence of the environment.
Sometimes great changes have taken place in the living environment, and people can do nothing but endure it, that is, make so-called negative adaptation. Negative adaptation is just a form, and its internal meaning also contains positive side, which has practical significance at least in a certain period or stage. When the living environment suddenly changes, whether a person can quickly adopt various methods to adapt to and maintain psychological balance often marks the healthy level of a person's psychological activities.
