After the baby is born, due to the mature development of the brain nervous system and the rapid physical development, there will be some drooling, growth pain, apnea and other phenomena during the baby's growth and development. Young parents should pay attention to identification, so as to do better home care and let the baby grow up healthily.
1, drooling
Saliva is actually saliva secreted by salivary glands.
Saliva not only moistens the mouth, dissolves food, facilitates swallowing, but also digests carbohydrates in food, and also has bactericidal effect to prevent the growth and reproduction of bacteria in the mouth. The salivary glands of infants aged 3 ~ 4 months gradually mature and the amount of saliva secretion increases, but at this time, the function of swallowing saliva is not perfect, the mouth is shallow, and the lip closing and swallowing movements are not coordinated, which shows frequent drooling. After the child grows up to 6 ~ 7 months, saliva will flow more because of the stimulation of the teeth that are erupting to the nerves in the mouth. Therefore, the above two conditions belong to normal physiology, not pathology. When the child grows up and the swallowing function is fully developed, this physiological drooling phenomenon will naturally disappear.
Step 2 bend your legs
In summer and autumn, a few-month-old baby wears very little clothes, and parents sometimes find that the baby's calf is a little bent inward, thinking that it has rickets. In fact, this kind of inflexion of the calf is not rickets, but a natural physiological phenomenon. The reason is that the child's body is in a state of flexion in the mother's womb, so that the calf seems to be bent for a while after birth. In addition, from the perspective of the baby's body proportion, the head is big, the upper body is longer than the legs, and it seems that the two calves are short and curved. For this phenomenon, the calf will gradually correct itself as the child grows up.
3. Moro reflex
For babies under 3 ~ 4 months old, when the mother or family suddenly comes to the child or makes a noise, they will find that the child's arms are outstretched and straight, and then they are received by the chest in flexion, which shows a hug. We will think that the child is cramped. In fact, this is not a cramp, but a physiological phenomenon, medically known as Moro reflex. The absence of this Moro reflex indicates that the child's brain nervous system is immature, and another possibility is nervous system injury or pathological changes, intracranial hemorrhage or other intracranial diseases.
Step 4 suffocate
Careful mothers sometimes find that the newborn's breathing is not only irregular, but sometimes even apnea occurs, which makes them feel panic and uneasy. In fact, irregular breathing and apnea are common phenomena in newborns, especially premature infants, which are related to the immature development of their brain nervous system. Generally speaking, the apnea time does not exceed 10 second, and there are no other discomfort symptoms. It can be considered as a normal physiological phenomenon, so don't worry.
5, the pain of growing up
Some children have nothing to do when playing during the day, but complain about leg pain at night. After careful examination by parents, there is no redness and swelling, which is medically called growth pain. The reason is that the child grows fast, the leg is overburdened, and the bone end of the lower limb is congested, thus causing leg pain, which is also a normal physiological phenomenon. This kind of growth pain is manifested as mild swelling pain in the calf, which is heavier in the afternoon and evening, but it will gradually disappear as the child grows up.
6, white urine
In winter, the urine discharged by some babies into the bedpan is rice washing water, and many parents are very nervous and think it is chyluria. In fact, this kind of watery urine is due to the vigorous metabolism of children, especially when eating foods containing more oxalate and carbonate, such as spinach, amaranth and other green leafy vegetables or bananas, oranges or persimmons, the oxalate and carbonate in urine will increase. When these substances are excreted with urine, when they are cold, salts such as urate or phosphate will crystallize out and become mixed, like rice washing water samples. This situation mainly occurs in the cold season, especially in infants. In general, this kind of urine is harmless to children's health. As long as you feed your child more boiled water or take some vitamin C orally, the urine will disappear in a few days.
Whether the baby is healthy or not can be seen by yourself without going to see a doctor. Therefore, parents can initially judge their baby's health problems through the following ten criteria.
1, look at the eyes.
A healthy baby has bright eyes, spirit, focused eyes and full of vitality. If the baby is distracted, it is lack of qi and blood.
2. Look at the skin.
The baby's skin is shiny, elastic and has pink fluff. If the baby's skin is yellow, dark and dull, it is unhealthy.
3. Look at this smile.
A baby's smile is a balanced smile. If the baby doesn't like to laugh, or shows an uncomfortable expression, it is naturally a signal of illness.
4. Fingers.
The baby's slender flat fingers. If the baby's fingers are full, fleshy and elastic, it is a healthy baby.
5. Look at your ears.
Normal baby's ears are round and look fleshy, but there are few bones and they are soft.
6. watch sleep.
The baby has good sleep quality. When sleeping, it is a healthy baby, and it will not wake up easily and will not cry easily. If the baby's breathing or sleep is unstable, it is unhealthy.
7. Look at this hair.
Healthy baby's hair is black, thick and supple. And if it is less hair or hard, it is an unhealthy baby.
