My elective course Sub-health happens to be an elective course for medical students. Let me talk about my understanding of this medical term & phenomenon.
First of all, what is sub-health? This is healthier.
In 2007, the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued the Clinical Guide to Sub-health, which clearly expounded the concept, common clinical manifestations and diagnostic criteria of sub-health from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, and pointed out that sub-health refers to a state in which the human body is between health and disease. People in sub-health state can't reach the health standard, which is characterized by the decline of vitality, function and adaptability in a certain period of time, but it doesn't meet the clinical or subclinical diagnostic criteria of modern medicine.
This concept triggered a heated discussion and had a wider impact. The main reason is that one party thinks that sub-health is a gimmick, and it is not unhealthy without real symptoms on the body-that is, it still belongs to the health category. Therefore, they despise the concept of sub-health; On the other hand, as long as there are physical and mental problems, it means that they no longer belong to the category of health, but because the symptoms are simple, they cannot be classified as diseases, so we support the creation of this intermediate state term to describe the modality that seems to be sick but not sick.
At that time, I was a little confused when listening to the old professor of medical college talking about various sub-health situations, because I didn't expect that playing mobile phone before going to bed, being distracted in class, being listless, being obese and obsessive-compulsive disorder also belonged to the sub-health category. But think about it carefully, whether you are sick or not, the sub-health state is almost equal to the harbinger of disease germination. This description is beyond doubt.
So don't ask if sub-health is real or just a gimmick. What's more important is to pay attention to the small warning issued by the body in time!
