Lawrence Xu, formerly known as Xu Jianshu, originating from Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, graduated from the China Academy of Arts and Crafts, majoring in costume design (now Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts), and then studied in Paris, is an internationally renowned costume designer, artist Francis DeLoach Lang's favorite students.
