The Adventures of the Black Cat - Rada (Czech Republic)

Dear children, I will tell you a true story, I am afraid that you do not believe that there is such a thing, but in fact it is very true: Pearzhuang Shvitz family had a cat, called Mick?. He learned to talk when he was just a little boy. This may be because of the Schwartz family that naughty boy Bebik old and it talk to the sake of it, or it is a special cat.

Mickesh was very polite and greeted people with the courtesy of a village mayor. He always sleeps with Bebek. Bebek has a lot of stories in his stomach. But when Bebek told scary ghost stories, Mikesh said, "Bebek, don't tell me this kind, or I won't dare to go up to the barn at night to catch mice!"

Mikesh learned to speak human words, and to stand up and walk like a man, so that the cobbler made him a pair of shoes. In the winter, Bebek was afraid of freezing its front paws, and had his grandmother sew him thick mittens. Mikesh always went out with Bebek fully dressed, and the village children were so surprised and delighted to see him that they wanted to play with him until midnight. But as soon as he heard his grandmother's call, Bebek ran home with Mikesh. After dinner, Bebek led Mikesh to bed.

Once, the Switzes' grandmother went to feed her little boar, Bakshik. No matter how well she fed him, he just wouldn't get fat, and she was worried about it. But Bassik blinked his little crystal eyes and suddenly said to his grandmother, "Mikesh said, Grandma, it's fashionable to be slim nowadays!"

Gosh! Already there were cats who could only talk, and now surprisingly even her piglets were talking, and with such jerky words. Grandma was surprised and angry. She was even more angry with Mikesh, how could he teach Basik to be bad. What was the point of having a pig if it didn't get fat? This is really sad for the grandmother.

"Basik, you hedgehog eyes! I tell you, you have to eat well. I won't say anything if you learn to talk. Tell me what you like to eat, and if a thief comes to steal from you at night, cry out 'help' as hard as you can! Then he will run away at once, for the villain will think there is someone in the pigsty." After Grandma had enlightened Bassik, Bassik soon ate all the pig's food.

The pears were so ripe and yellow that the children used to climb the tree and steal them. But the pear keeper's eyes are so sharp that he catches the naughty ones at once and gives them a thrashing.

Bebek suffered such a loss. But one by one, the big pears are hanging on the tree, how greedy. Later, Bebek managed to come up with a trick: to get Mikesh to climb up the tree to pick the pears.

But Mikkesh is a good cat, and he won't steal the pears. Bebek promises to give him a dish of cream in exchange, but Mickersh refuses. Finally, Bebek got angry and said that he didn't really want to eat the broken pears, but just wanted to teach them a lesson, because once he had heard them laughing at Bebek and Mickesh from a tree, calling them tzitzis and crippled cats.

Such ridicule enraged Mickesh, and he was about to take Bebek to teach those damned pears a lesson.

They skirted the lawn, went over the hill, and slipped into the orchard of the Mleiniec family. Mikesh climbed a tree, and Bebik snuck under the pear tree. Over the tips of the grass he saw Uncle Mleiniec standing far away behind the black lilac bush.

Bang! A big pear fell. And another, and another ...... In no time at all, Bebek's pockets were filled with a dozen or so.

Mikesh shouted to him from the tree, "That should always be enough, shouldn't it? Bebek, I think they've gotten a taste of you, too."

"Pick a few more!" Bebek replied in a low voice.

A few more were thrown down, but Bebek wasn't satisfied. The righteous Mikesh is angry at Bebik's greed, so he picks a large pear and throws it right at Bebik's nose.

Bebek was hit so hard that his eyes sparkled. He was so angry that he immediately jumped up and screamed and yelled at Mikesh in the tree, and was immediately spotted by Uncle Mrynyek. Bebik got a thrashing and the pear was confiscated. But the uncle wondered: how come he didn't find his accomplice in the tree? The children, Mikesh, had long ago fled home in fear. So Bebek took another 5 lashes for Mikesh.

The pear stealing made Mikesh ashamed and sad. He went to his uncle's place and confessed his fault, and promised never to steal pears again.

The goat, Bobesh, is a goat owned by an old servant. It was particularly dirty and naughty. It often mischievously whisked the children to the tree, so scared that they dare not come down. Bobesh, on the other hand, kept under the tree and bleated happily.

So there were always children who came to the old servant's house to complain about Bobesh. The old servant was so angry that he whipped his naughty boy several times, but within a few days, Bobesh returned to his old ways and winked at the honest children.

Later, the little fat girl Kachinka also came to complain, and the old head servant sighed and decided to sell the wanton Bobesh.

Bobesh could hear it all over the sheepfold, and the old servant heard it muttering strangely in the pen.

Early the next morning, just as the old servant was getting dressed, he heard a knock at the door, and when he opened it, oh my! Bobesh stood on his hind legs, with a bunch of flowers in his front hooves, and then he spoke: "I am a flower, standing in this little corner, and I will not say anything to congratulate you, but I will be good and not get into trouble! O master, I wish you happiness and joy! A big bouquet of flowers!"

The old servant pinched his nose. He had longed for his sheep to be able to speak like Mikhesh and Basik, and now it did!

The old servant didn't mention the sale of the sheep again; since Bobesh was going to change his ways, he gave him a chance.

Babik rarely goes out, and stays in his cozy little piggy bank. When Bobek goes to school, Mikesh looks for Basik to talk to him. He also often visits Bobesh the goat, and they sit on the wooden pier at the entrance to the goat pen and tell jokes.

On this day, Bobesh and Mickesh were sitting on the wooden pier again, talking. Suddenly they saw little Donda ghosting over the fence and running towards the orchard.

"This boy has come to steal our pears, I believe. Let's give him a good treatment." Bobesh said.

Donda had just picked a large pear when he saw Mikesh and the others approaching. Donda quickly acted as if nothing had happened and walked away. Mikesh crept up behind him and replaced the pear in his pocket with a large potato.

Donda walks proudly towards the village, wanting to give the pear to his schoolgirl Marenka, who asked him to copy his homework. But when he dug into his pocket, how did he come up with a big potato? What he had put in there was a big sweet pear! Donda threw the potato away in anger.

Bobesh picks up the potato, hides it behind his back, and with the pear in his other hoof, he catches up with Donda and says, "Why did you throw the pear?"

Donda wondered. He put the pear in his pocket again as if in a dream and walked towards Marenga's house.

When he saw Marenga, Donda gave her the pear, but, oh my! How did it turn into a potato again? Marenga immediately kicks Donda out of the house in anger. What's going on here? Donda downheartedly threw the potatoes far away, two legs softly sitting in the village on the open lawn, he pulled his ears, to see if it is not in a dream.

At this time, he touched his pocket, how the potatoes ran back. Dongda is really going crazy. He was walking towards his nemesis, Vashek, and immediately decided to tease him a little bit. So he put the potato in his pocket and walked towards Vashek.

"How about a big pear for you? It's right here in the pocket."

"Great!" Vashek put his hand in Donda's pocket and immediately grabbed a nice big pear, and before Donda realized it, Vashek had run away without a trace.

Donda was so angry at what had happened today that he cried. He cried not only for the loss of the big pear, but also for the fear of running into such a strange thing. But from then on, Donda never stole another pear.

Children always look forward to Christmas and to getting Christmas presents. So did Bebek, although he never got any Christmas presents. Mikesh, who is just one and a half years old, can't wait for Christmas. With the money he has saved up, he has quietly prepared a gift for Bebek, which will surprise him a lot. Mikesh can hardly wait.

The night of Christmas finally crept in. One of the cottages in the flurry of snow was lit up, and the red apples hanging from the Christmas tree could be seen. The old maid played Christmas carols in the village square, and the children walked happily through the streets.

Later, Santa Claus comes, and he knocks on the door of the Switzers' house, too. Mickesh accidentally gets a brand new scooter, which Bebek has secretly prepared for Mickesh with the money he has saved, and he gives it to the man dressed as Grandpa Claus, trying to make Mickesh happy for once.

Santa left, and poor Bebek didn't get any presents. Mikesh looks at Bebek and then takes him to the white garden, where a beautiful sleigh is set up under a small apple tree. Mikesh was satisfied to see the look of surprise on Bebek's face.

"This is Santa Claus's present to you," said Mikesh, "and I have put it under the Christmas tree."

Look, children, what a kind and attentive kitten Mikesh is!

That morning, Bebek was sick, and he had a headache so bad he couldn't go to school. Mikesh didn't want Bebek to fall behind in his lessons. There was no other way, so it Mikesh went to school on his behalf.

Someone knocked on the door, the teacher opened the door, the children immediately exclaimed: Mikesh is wearing Bebek's hat, wearing leather shoes, under the arm of Bebek's textbook stood in front of the classroom.

"Teacher, I've come to give Bebek a fight." Mikesh said.

"Gee, Mikesh, you meant to say that you're giving Bebek a vacation, didn't you? That's very kind of you." The teacher corrected.

Mikesh was not very nice for saying the wrong word, but he asked to stay and listen to the lesson for Bebek anyway. The kids also strongly ask the teacher to agree and promise not to mess around in class.

The teacher had no choice but to agree. Mikesh sat down next to Lurenka, and he sat so still that he didn't even look at the sparrow chirping from the window.

Mikesh listened to the lecture and raised his hand to speak. For example, the teacher asked whether cows are good or bad. Mikesh immediately answered that it was harmful because it stepped on Mikesh's tail once. Another time, the teacher asked Mikesh to go to the blackboard to calculate how many one plus one equals, and Mikesh wrote: 1+1=11.

In grammar class, Mikesh also made a few appearances. Frantzik wrote a sentence on the board, "I got a big pear this morning."

The teacher asks what he forgot in this sentence, and Mikesh immediately raises his hand and answers, "He forgot to give us each a small piece."

The teacher and the children laughed at this, but Mikesh couldn't figure out what they were laughing at.

When school was over, Mikesh ran home excitedly. Bebek asks him what everyone got today. "Tonda got apples, Lurenka got a piece of cake, and Vashek got sweet bread and gave me a little piece." Oops, Mikesh messed up everything again. Turns out Bebek wanted to know what everyone had learned today.

Ever since Mikesh went to school for half a day, he's wanted to be a serious and intelligent cat. He walks around the yard with his hands behind his back, like a doctor. It also rummaged through an old calendar book from the cellar, and it had picked up a piece of wire in the street and twisted it into the shape of a spectacle. From then on, when reading the old calendar, it was necessary to wear glasses, and it looked funny; the calendar book was held, but it read the calendar with the same kind of concentration, as if it really knew how to read and write. Bebek always hides behind the door and almost laughs his ass off.

But on this day, Mikesh had a bad luck.

Grandma sends Mikesh to fetch cream from the cellar by the hill. On his way back, he falls down the log bridge with a jar of cream, breaking the jar and spilling the cream all over the place.

Mikesh was so frightened that he didn't dare to go home; he was afraid that his grandmother would beat him up. If that happens, the naughty people in the village will be laughing at him for the rest of his life. Poor Mikesh cried bitterly. In the end, it decided to leave home and go wandering, and perhaps earn some money to compensate for the grandmother's pot.

With that, Mikesh reluctantly left the pear farm and ran towards the Black Forest.

Grandma waited and waited and did not see Mikesh coming back. She went out to look for him and found the broken pot at the bridge.

Everyone went out to look for Mikesh, even Bobesh helped, and Bassik sighed in the pigsty. But until nightfall, it was not found. Bebek cried bitterly. That night, he slept alone on the bed, missing Mikesh for a long time.

Mikesh was lost for a long time. Every evening, Bebek and Bobesh went to the piggy bank to see Bassik. They always reminisced about the good old days and remembered the funny stories that Mikesh had told. Now the days suddenly became lonely.

One day, Bepik brought home a very small white kitten named Nazichek. He wanted to raise it to be second to Mikesh. But it didn't work! Nazichek is a particularly timid and honest kitten, and he is always teased by Bébic. But Grandma quickly fell in love with Nazichek. She always said: "Nazichek is not as good as his Uncle Mikesh, but he is an obedient kitten. There were times when I couldn't remember where I had put my glasses, and it was always this little tiny thing that found them for me."

Nazichek has also learned to speak, only a little slurred. The friends also grew to love the kind little thing, but still could not forget the clever Mikesh.

On this day, Bassik leaves the pigsty to visit Bobesh, who is sitting in the sun combing his beard with a broken comb. Nowadays, Bobesh doesn't bully children anymore, but he uses his horns to scare the naughty ones who get into trouble.

A couple of friends then talked. Sometimes they talk about Nazichek's ridiculous silliness, and sometimes they talk about their good friend Mikesh.

At that moment, up the hill came the letter carrier Halub, who shouted exasperatedly as he walked: "My God, now that the animals are sending letters to each other, I'm so busy! Is there a goat here named Bobesh?"

Bobesh is so excited he can hardly stand up, it's the first time he's ever gotten a letter! Bassik squeezes in, "It must be from Mikesh. The writing is almost unrecognizable, like a cat's claw!"

Bobesh really wants to know what the letter says, but he can't read. He ran towards the Bebek's house so fast that Bassik, the fat little pig, could not catch up with him.

When Bobesh came running, Bebek was sawing wood in the yard. He immediately opened the letter, which read, "Dear Popesh ten! I greet you 5 times now I have a jar full of coins from my work as a circus performer. I will soon come home to greet you again, Mikesh, the circus performer."

This was a great joy for the group, which immediately prepared a grand welcome. They also taught Nazichek a welcome poem: "Mom, Dad, the mice are scurrying in the house! Let the cat in and catch the mouse for dinner!" It was a poem that the clever sheep brain came up with, for which Bobesh helped Nazichek rehearse many times.

A week after the letter, Bassik had a dream. He dreamed that Mikesh would return the next day. Babik concluded that this was an omen. So, early the next morning, the three friends went over the hill to fetch Mikesh. Bebek also kept practicing playing the harmonica.

It was almost noon, but there was no sign of Mikesh. Suddenly, they heard someone in the village shouting for them to come home, saying that Mikesh had already arrived home.

Everyone desperately ran home. Mikesh was standing in the yard, dressed like a real actor in an embroidered dress and pants, and wearing a pair of real glasses. The grandmother was so happy that she touched Mikesh's little head. Bebek immediately played the harmonica, and Basik and Bobesh warmly embraced Mikesh. At that moment, little Nazichek came panting, "Mommy, Daddy, the mice are scurrying in the house!" Startled, Mikesh immediately went to catch the mouse, but was grabbed by Bobesh, "It's memorizing the welcome poem!" Basik yelled in exasperation, "I told you the little thing would spoil the pot on everything. It's so stupid!"

Nazichek stepped forward, kissed Mikesh's paw, and then said, "Dear Uncle Mit(k)sh, welcome! Quickly let the cat in and catch the mice for dinner!"

Everyone laughed, and Mitekesh picked him up and gave him a krona. Nazichek immediately put it in his pants pocket, in case Uncle Mikesh changed his mind.

Mikesh brought back a lot of gifts for everyone, and gave his grandmother a particularly beautiful clay pot, and even the naughty children of the village got a lot of sweets.

In the evening, Mikesh began to tell everyone about what he had been through since he ran away. It was quite a long adventure for a cat.

Mikesh went into the forest and walked and walked, carrying his little package, cold, hungry and tired. But it did not dare to stop; it was afraid that the gendarmes would come after it because it had broken its grandmother's clay pot.

Mikesh advanced sadly. Walked out of the woods and came to a large field. Saw a couple of shepherd boys sitting around a campfire, watching a large herd of cattle. Mikkesh wanted to roast the fire and ask for some food. How surprised the children were when he went over to them! But they were not frightened away, they stared at the little monster without blinking.

Mikesh introduced himself and told the story of why he ran away. Immediately, the children's hearts were filled with sympathy, for they too had often made mistakes and were afraid to go home.

Mikesh made a fire, ate the roasted potatoes the children gave him, and went on his way. Perhaps the gendarmes are searching for it in the woods.

The poor cat did not know where it was going. All it wants to do is to save some money somewhere, buy a new clay pot for its grandmother, and then go home.

At night, Mikesh slept in a big tree. The next day, he walks towards the village to ask for some food, as he cannot bear to catch birds.

An older woman was working in the fields. He went to her and bowed, and just as he opened his mouth to speak, the woman ran away screaming as if she were scared out of her wits.

Mikesh wondered why the woman had run away. He continued on his way and was lucky! An uncle was plowing the field, Mikesh went up to greet him, but as soon as the uncle's eyes met the black cat in the coat and hat, he immediately threw away the whip and ran away, even the horse and plow did not want.

Mikesh was so sad that he frightened many people. If this happens, he will not be able to get anything and will die of hunger.

Later, Mikesh took off his clothes and pants, hid himself, and walked on all fours like a normal cat into the village. When he came to a farmhouse, Mikesh met a kind woman. She gave the poor cat a saucer full of milk and hoped the beautiful black cat would stay. Mikesh meowed invitingly, licked the saucer clean, and ate it so happily that he said a few words of gratitude in his customary human language, so that the aunt fled inside with a yelp and slammed the door.

Mikesh slipped out of the yard in frustration, wanting to smack himself in the mouth. The aunt was no longer afraid to take him in, and he would have to continue to wander.

Mikkesh got dressed, said goodbye to the village, and headed for the fields. When it was dark, he met a family with a cloth caravan, cooking dinner around a campfire.

Mikesh walked towards them, perhaps they would give him some broth. He asked them "good night" and they all stared at him in surprise. Then the man left the fire and headed for the car. The two women were left speaking to Mikesh.

Suddenly, Mikesh could see nothing, and someone put him in a sack, tied it tightly and threw him in the car. Mikesh cries out in desperation, "Grandma!" Boys, this turned out to be some gypsy.

Mikesh stayed in the blackened pockets, scared to death. It cried at the thought that it would never go home this time. It cried and cried all night until the rooster crowed.

Suddenly, many people came and asked if there was anything stolen in the car. "It must be the gendarmes who have come to search me." Mikesh thought. But it would rather fall into the hands of the gendarmes than be taken to the end of the world by the gypsies. So Mikesh screamed desperately for help from inside the bag. The gendarmes came over and untied the bag. They are surprised to find that it is not a child who crawls out, but a black cat.

The gendarmes, of course, do not take Mikesh. They tell Mikesh that he can't go to jail for breaking a clay pot, and that he can just buy his grandmother a new one later when he has the money. Mikesh left them fast.

In the afternoon, Mikesh carried his small backpack up an endless highway. As they walked, dark clouds rose in the sky and a gust of wind came up, almost sweeping Mikesh away. It was about to rain heavily, but there was not even a small tree around, and Mikesh was so scared that he hurriedly put his shoes into his backpack.

The rain poured down. Soon the highway turned into a small river, and Mikesh lost consciousness and floated down the water.

I don't know how long it took, but the rain stopped, the water receded, and the sun came out. On the highway came 10 colorful cars of the circus. Mr. Klontzky, the troupe leader, and his 10-year-old daughter, Olushka, were sitting in the last of the beautiful cars, looking out the window. They found Mikesh lying by a small tree and got him into the car. Olushka helped her dad dry the black cat and wrapped it in a warm blanket. But Mikesh didn't know anything, it was still unconscious.

The father-daughter duo had dinner, and Papa began to tell the story of the lion. Suddenly, Olushka sees the black cat sitting up and greeting them in human language.

Mr. Klonsky and Olushka were very surprised, they were not prepared for this. But their surprise did not last forever, Mr. Klontsovski was the head of the circus after all!

Mikesh is very happy to stay in the circus, and becomes good friends with the lovely Olushka.

The Klontzky Circus caused a big sensation in Brandeis because of a particularly mysterious show called The Talking Pocket: an ordinary pocket, tied with a flap, would roll around on the stage and greet the audience, answering their questions and making them laugh. But no one can guess what's in it.

A lot of people came to see the circus, and the circus made good money. Mikesh soon saved several jars of coins.

The circus animals also loved Mikesh, because he was smart and kind, and could translate animal language into human language and relay the animals' requests to the ringmaster. Even the bad-tempered old lion listens to Mikesh.

Day after day, many days passed. Mikesh grew sad, it was so homesick for its grandmother, for Bebek, for its companions. Finally, it decided to go home. Olushka cried a lot, but she helped Mikesh to buy presents for his friends.

This is all that happened to Mikesh after he left home.

Mikesh lived as friendly as ever with his old friends. Only it often misses its circus friends too. He wants to go back, but he can't bear to make his grandmother sad.

But one day, a strange thing happened: a big, beautiful parrot flew to Pear Village. It went around asking the children where Mikesh lived. And not far away, over the hill, a small procession was coming: an elephant with a monkey in a flowery dress on its back, and a furry bear walking in front of it.

It was none other than the friends of the circus who had come to fetch Mikesh.

Such an unexpected visit startled the whole Pearly Gates. The children watched from afar, scowling at each other, but no one dared to come near, and only the naughtiest of the naughty ones, Rhonda, dared to touch the monkey.

Mikesh excitedly welcomed them out and brought the guests into the yard. Grandma also comes out, so surprised that she doesn't know how to entertain her guests. Bassik, however, hides in the pigsty, trembling with fear, and little Nazichek hides under the blanket, refusing to come out.

The four strange guests immediately talked to Mikesh. They tell about the circus: Mr. Klontzky is sick. Poor Olushka is too busy. The circus is in such a bad shape that many of the animals have had to be sold, and now there are only a few of them and the bad-tempered old lion left. They had to come to Mikesh to find a solution. Olushka looked forward to its return every day.

Mikesh was so sad to hear this that he decided to go back to the circus with the animals. Grandma doesn't keep him anymore, because the circus needs Mikesh more.

After drinking the fragrant hot coffee made by Grandma, the animals went on their way. Bebik felt proud of himself, though he was reluctant to leave. Bassik also finally bravely peeks his head out of the piggy bank and sadly says goodbye to Mikesh.

After a long journey, Mikesh returned to Orushka, and the circus became alive and hopeful again.

This time, Mikesh intends to show up and perform himself. Everyone is busy preparing for a grand circus show.

The day of the show finally came. Notices were put up all over the city, and so many, many people came to see the circus that the parrot had to help Orushka keep order at the ticket booths. Then the audience was so large that the tent was bursting at the seams. But there were so many people lined up outside the tent that they had to wait until tomorrow.

It was a wonderful circus, with the few remaining animals showing off their skills. The old trainer, Shwedda, even performed a long string of magic tricks. The kids were as excited as crazy.

The last show was so unexpected, called The Mysterious Male Cat.

The curtain slowly opened, and in the middle of the stage on the big stone sat an old man, cold and hungry, poor. At that moment a prince in beautiful clothes comes out and eats buttered bread. The old grandfather begged him for it, but he refused it rudely. The old grandfather was so angry that he immediately made him turn into a black cat. A little while later, a beautiful little princess came to her brother, also with cream bread in her hand. She was very kind and gave the old man bread to eat. The old man told her that he had turned her brother into a four-footed beast. The little princess cried bitterly and begged to have her little brother back again. But the old man refused and only restored his ability to speak human language. Immediately the black cat chattered and spoke, and this time he became so well-behaved that the old grandfather said that if he did something good, he would change back to his human form.

Then the siblings left. Just a moment later, the black cat came running back, saying that it had just seen an old grandmother, and that it had deliberately not greeted her. The old man was furious, but the black cat added, "If I had gone up to greet her, she would have been frightened out of her wits." The old grandfather laughed, and so resumed the prince's human form.

After watching the play, the audience sat for a long time, they have never heard the cat speak, and then they boiled, shouting, laughing, must be the black cat to come out to speak, and refused to go away for a long time.

"The Mysterious Male Cat" made the children never tire of watching it, and people from nearby towns came to see the circus. The circus made so much money that Mikesh could not count it in any way. The circus prospered again, and people wanted to buy some more animals to expand the circus, but Mikesh suddenly remembered: why not let Bobesh and Bassik come? Mikesh immediately sends them a quick letter and money.

As soon as Bobesh received the news, he was so excited that he wanted to leave right away, but Bassik hid in the pigsty and refused to go anywhere. The grandmother also persuaded Bobesh that she would not be lonely if she had Nazichek at home with her. Basik should go out into the world and help Mickesh and the circus.

It was with great difficulty that Basik timidly agreed. Soon Mickesh drove up to pick up Bobesh and Bassik, both of whom were shaking all over with nervous excitement over their first trip out of town.

Bobesh and Bassik arrive at the circus, and Mikesh goes to great lengths to help them put on a wonderful show. Their silly performances are equally well received, and they make a lot of money, which they send home. They also send Bebek to Prague to learn to paint, knowing that Bebek is very talented at it.

Later, when Mr. Klontzky got better, he decided to change the name of the circus to the Miksch-Klontzky Circus. How grateful he was to the black cat Mikesh!

Basilisk and Bobesh lived happily in the circus for a long time. But then Mikesh realized that they were getting more and more melancholy every day. It is not until Mikesh also misses his homeland more and more every day that he understands his friends' depression. Mikesh does not want to let its friends sad sick, so it wants to talk to the chief: they want to quit their jobs and go back to Pear Village.

It so happens that Mr. Klonsky, who is also sending Oluska to Prague to study acting, is getting old and doesn't want to move around anymore, and is planning to discuss this with Mikesh.

Miksch was so happy that he invited Mr. Klontzky to retire to the quiet Pearly Gates, where he could buy a big house and take all the animals with him. That way, no one will have to be sad about parting. When Mr. Klontzky heard this, he was thrilled to hold Mikesh's tiny paw.

It was an exciting day when Mikesh took his friends back to the Pear House. Grandma cried several times with joy and little Nazichek ran in and out of the house with joy.

Mikesh and Mr. Klontzky built a big house near the Shvets' house, where each animal has its own comfortable room. There is also a large room dedicated as a reading room for the village children.

Since Mikesh and the others came back, the village has become much more lively. During the fall harvest, everyone helped the farmers push the grain back and forth. Now, they are no longer afraid of it, but consider it their friend.

Mikesh often talks and tells stories to his grandmother and friends. Sometimes it also liked to climb up the big fruit tree alone and sit there looking out over the whole village, thinking about the wonderful stories Grandma had told, praying that Bebek in Prague wouldn't be naughty and break the glass in the principal's house, and reminiscing about the many, many things that had happened in the past. ......
