Zhang Lei, born on April 1, 1979 in Yangquan, Shanxi Province, is a CCTV variety channel host, graduated from Communication University of China, majoring in broadcasting and hosting.
In 2006, she participated in the CCTV Challenge Host Competition and won the first place from more than 11,000 contestants, thus entering CCTV and hosting Joyful China Walk; between 2007 and 2011, she hosted more than 150 sessions of Joyful China Walk; and in 2009, she hosted Joyful Heroes and won the award for the most popular hostess among college students of the year.
In 2011, she took part in CCTV's "Seven Days of Fun on National Day" and was shortlisted as the most popular hostess among college students in the second China College Students' TV Festival; in 2012, she was invited to host the Spring Festival Gala of her hometown TV station, Shanxi Satellite Television; and in 2013, she hosted the CCTV New Year's Eve Gala together with Zhu Jun, Dong Qing and other ****.

Zhang Lei grew up in a literary family, and since she was immersed in the arts from a young age, she has been able to sing and dance well.
