The Best of Sydney - Parrot Island

Happy Weekend in Sydney

- Parrot Island

? Sydney is located on the south-eastern coast of Australia and is a world-famous cosmopolitan city. It is home to many historic buildings and islands, and is full of legendary stories.

The Sydney Opera House is beautifully framed by sparkling waters,

and the sunlit building is artistic.

A weekend trip to Parrot Island with a group similar to the domestic donkeys, an island that played a large role in World War I and World War II, was once a prison for exiled convicts and a ? shipbuilding base, is now a tourist vacation spot and is listed as one of the World Heritage Sites.

The circular location of Parrot Island contributes to its unique landscape.

? Many people have two worries before they come to Sydney, one is language communication (bad English worry about the barrier to communicate with people), and one is spiritual communication (life is not familiar with no family and friends). When you come to Sydney, you will find that there are a lot of Chinese people living overseas, and they are organized into all kinds of clubs, such as weekend tours, self-driving tours, chorus groups, square dance groups, cheongsam runway teams, and even special groups for flower and vegetable gardening, and there are also free English classes taught by foreign teachers, health lectures, and all kinds of chess and cards competitions in each community.

My husband and I looked at a number of groups that were organizing day trips around Sydney on weekends, and after looking at a few places to go and discussing them, we decided to go to Parrot Cay with the Old Geezer group.

? The entrance to Parrot Island is a striking sign that tells the story of its past.

? We left the house at 8:00 am to catch the bus at the designated place and then traveled in groups. I was worried that there wouldn't be many participants, but when I arrived at the bus stop, I saw a large group of Chinese waiting for the bus, and they all greeted each other as if they were old friends. After arriving at City by bus, our group has reached 57 people, and the large force went to the pier to take the boat, and arrived at Parrot Island in 15 minutes.

Women love to take pictures wherever they go, so we had to take one at the pier while waiting for the boat.

? The old steppe group has more than 400 people, most of them are from the country to see the child's grandparents grandparents generation of people, the majority of people in the fifties knife and sixties, we have *** the same topic, *** the same hobby, so there is no obstacle to communication.

The compatriots smiled sweetly and took a beautiful group photo

The male compatriots were handsome and dashing, and were the most competent bodyguards and photographers.

And then there's the family photo, a happy reunion.

Cockatoo Island was originally a tree-lined island that attracted cockatoo parrots, whose noisy cries led to the name cockatoo island, but now the parrots have moved on to other islands, and the second seagulls have taken over the island.

Walking up the stone steps is the upland part of the island,

with its many workshops and design studios, as well as prison cells and offices.

COCKATOO ISLAND is clearly divided into two parts: the highlands and the flatlands. The high ground is the part above the cliffs, where the criminals are imprisoned and work, and where the guards, draftsmen, mold makers, and managers live, and where the design studios and workshops are located.

We meditate by the sea, we think by the sea,

we walk by the sea, we think by the sea.

Every day that we don't dance on the beach is the biggest disappointment of life.

The flat part is the part below the bluffs is the area that belongs to the industrial area, the docking wharf, and the shipyard. They blew part of the bluff up with explosives, and the convicts spent 11 years using the rubble or creating convict barracks and field houses, and barns, and seawalls.

? The long tunnels were particularly cool, and the sisters walked and laughed in them.

In the middle of the cliffs next to the campsite a tunnel was dug, the original purpose of the tunnels was to make it easier to transport the island's large machines and their parts around the island, and then in 1942, in World War II, since the Japanese submarine attack on Sydney Harbor, these tunnels were used as air raid shelters, and the tunnels were fitted with sound equipment, which must have played a great role during the war, these sound devices told people when it was safe to come out of the tunnels.

and my husband for the first time in his life, wearing a couple of T-shirts sent by his son, in the sea breeze to take a selfie.

With the bright sunshine overhead and the rusty towers full of vicissitudes behind them,

? These monuments with a strong sense of history are in stark contrast to modern life.

? Aside from the prison, there's the bird's eye view of Fitzroy Dock and Sutherland Dock from high on the hill, both of which are now in a semi-faded state, very much in the Walking Dead vein, and require imagination to recreate the busyness and grandeur of what was once there. Nothing lasts forever, these buildings, these iron booms, these shipyards and docks, all covered in the dust of time. It is the love of the past that has kept these from disappearing all at once. The dilapidated house, which was used for aircraft design, manufacturing and maintenance between 1929 - 1934, played a huge role in the Australian ship and air industry.

Stop, read, scrutinize and savor the moving story behind each image.

Everything recorded in this black and white is silent history.

Black and white old photos, a vivid face, a vivid life,

Now they are the dust of the years annihilated in where?

Rusty, still standing, worn out, but looked up to.

This is the imprint of time, this is a memorable history.

The scenery is unique, and the woman is like a flower blooming.?

In addition to artificial buildings, people can see the original seagulls. Although the island has been artificially transformed many times, the seagulls consider it their territory. They occupy the island all year round, and the roads and buildings are colored white with their white droppings. Now this month, late spring and early summer, is the breeding season for the gulls. The gulls have finished mating and many have laid eggs and are hard at work incubating them. Some are already moving around with their young.

The gulls are entering the breeding season, and when they see me approaching, they immediately look at me with a wary eye.

The gulls build their nests on the ground, and the nests are made of thin twigs coiled into a shallow "tray", which is not flashy, but very sturdy and practical. The gulls usually incubate two eggs at the same time, the eggs are gray-green with black spots, a little smaller than eggs. Once visitors approach the hatching seagulls, the mother seagulls scream frantically and the father bird swoops down to attack.

Take a closer look at the pair of gull eggs, and the gulls' nests made of twigs one by one.

Seagulls are a common seabird in Sydney, but seeing them incubate their eggs and raise their young up close is a different experience.

You can rent or bring your own camping tent, but it's very small,

with two cribs inside like a standard room, and very clean and tidy.

This is a piece of flat land that you can see as soon as you enter the island, it is a camping place. You can see a lot of simple tents.

Since 2005, when COCKATOO ISLAND was opened to the public, there have been a lot of activities in this area. People can spend the night here, experience the silent night of the island, see the sea sunset and sunrise. You can also see the New Year's Eve fireworks from the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the beautiful sea view of the new buildings and facilities in the harbor. There are also many cultural and commercial events held here. The rich can also live on the high ground in a townhouse to enjoy all the island has to offer.

A family reunion, a group bash, a gang party.

Eagles catching chicks was a favorite game when I was a kid,

and it's as crazy now as it was back then.

Dancing with the sea breeze, jumping up and down with the white clouds.

Throw, throw, throw the handkerchief, gently behind the children.

? Playing the game of throwing handkerchiefs is too involved, the Demoiselle Weng elder brother in the chase companion because of running too fast, accidentally fell to the ground, shocked the crowd a call, only to see the elder brother quickly climbed up:

Nothing, continue to play. The sharp posture makes people can not believe that this is a 68-year-old big brother.

The sailboat is flying on the sea under the blue sky and white clouds.

The first thing you need to do is to take a picture of the boat, and it's a postcard.

A couple, a loving couple who have experienced rain, snow and wind.

Sister Xiu Juan and her husband, who added a lot of joy to our outing.

Seaside rest, *** with the memory of those good old days.

Let the sea breeze blow our hair up,

Let us hold hands and see the world through.

We came to Australia for our children,

and we continue to work hard for a better future.

The three of us in the peach garden are all good brothers.

The youngest member of the group, four-year-old Duo Duo, is everyone's delight.

Yang's husband and wife did a lot of homework to make sure that the group could go on a trip every weekend,

so thank you very much for their great love and dedication.

They are the first to have done so, and they are the first to have done so, and they are the first to have done so.

Meet next week, see you there

You can't say goodbye to the Demoiselle's brother, who stopped by to browse.

Bathe in the sun, my heart flies.

"Old Geezer" Yang, head of Australia for more than 20 years, Sydney's landscape are familiar with the sailboat, every weekend they will do their homework ahead of time to choose the right line for everyone, free of charge to organize trips. Salute to this caring and loving couple.

Images are frozen time, in order to commemorate this trip, hastily write a small article to show the record. Because of the cell phone photos are not complete, write a very short time, please forgive me for the wrong things.
